Supernatural presence

There's a difference between being lonely and being alone. Being lonely is the feeling of sadness without the company of a certain someone. Being alone means that no one is present.

On the days where you're really missing that one person, or you're missing the city where you used to live or you're missing the way things used to be, you might feel as if you're alone because you are without those things.

It's only human to feel that way. It's natural to miss people or to look back on the way things were and wonder. However, good or bad, we have to remember that greater than the natural is the supernatural presence of God in every stage of our lives. In life, things (and people) will be ever changing, but God remains the same.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
- Psalm 23:4

No matter how much the loneliness seems to sit in the forefront of your mind, it doesn't mean that you're alone. It doesn't matter how empty the room feels at night or how many days seem to just run together...God is still there, breathing life into you every single breath.

He doesn't miss a moment of your life. He doesn't stop loving you when other people do.

He doesn't leave when other people leave. Let this be your hope in the lonely moments

AND in the satisfactory moments of life. Through the good and bad, the presence of God is your guide and His rod and His staff will comfort you.
