Don't doubt

☀️Leave a comment below! What do you have to be excited about that you know Jesus will make possible?

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” - Matthew 14:31

When you read Matthew 14:22-36, you’ll see that Peter was doubtful of Jesus in both verse 22 and verse 30. Even though Peter knew exactly who Jesus was, he wasn’t ready to completely trust Him. Yet still, Jesus stretched out His arms and gave Peter an opportunity to step outside of his doubt.

Are you willing to step outside of your doubt today and go to Jesus?

Take a moment and think about the things you’ve dreamed of doing in the future. Maybe you really desire to work in a certain line of work or you dream about getting married and having kids someday. Perhaps when you think about these things, you then take a look around and you’re once again reminded just how far away you are from actually reaching these goals. Even though you know in your heart that God is going to take care of you and He’ll never leave you, you still find yourself wondering how the desires of your heart could ever become a reality. Maybe you desire to live a life where you’re trusting in God and bravely following Jesus, but sometimes, you find yourself wondering: “But is it really possible, though? Is it really possible to have faith that God will take care of everything?”

Perhaps as Peter stepped out to walk on the water toward Jesus he wondered the same thing. Even though he saw Jesus standing right there before him, he still couldn’t process that it was actually possible to keep his eyes on Jesus and that He would guide him.

Never let what seems impossible get in the way of what God will make possible through Jesus Christ. When Jesus is calling your name, though you may feel like you’re walking on unstable ground, He is not going to lead you in harm’s way. He’s going to lead you where you need to be. Have faith that He will do so!
