Every born-again, spirit-filled believer is supposed to live a victorious life in Christ. However, a majority of the Christians are barely able to survive through the challenges of life, forget overcoming it. That divides them into two categories: A Christian and a Victorious Christian. In which category do you fall in? Here are 5 hallmarks of a victorious Christian’s lifestyle:
1. He celebrates God’s Word
You will only celebrate what you value. Victorious Christian place top priority on God’s Word and make it a reference point for all his decisions. He depends on the counsel of God’s Word more than what his friends, or people around him have to say, even more than what his mind has to say. He is a lover of God’s Word, and this love only grows more intense with the passing of time.
2. He knows how to choose
The choices that one makes today will determine the amount of spiritual authority he will have tomorrow. A majority of the believers are remaining stagnant in their life even after years of getting saved because the choices they are making are in the flesh. A victorious Christian does not confirm with the choices that the world makes, rather he makes a conscious effort to be led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). He is not only is filled with the Spirit, but he keeps in step with the spirit (Galatians 5:25).
3. He is flint-focussed towards his vision
This world is in desperate need of leaders who have the vision of God etched upon their hearts. A victorious Christian is not a talker but a doer! He has a divine vision, sets tangible goals towards it and is a good steward of time. He keeps his mind’s eye on what God has called him to become and makes his focus like that of a flint (Isaiah 50:7) He is also humble, hardworking and showcases a spirit of excellence in whatever he puts his hand to.
4. He operates in love
Love is the basis of what a victorious Christian says and does. And because it is so, he leaves very little room for offence or unforgiveness to take root in his heart. Freely he receives and freely he gives. He imitates the love of Jesus, displaying the fruit of the spirit in great measure.
5. He guards his associations
A victorious Christian realises that his friends can take him closer to his God destiny or far away from it. Their attitudes and opinions, like pollen, blow into our lives, shaping our perspective and influencing our decisions. And so he surrounds himself with people who are in the same mission as he is. He stays away from those who are lovers of the world (James 4:3,4) and sticks to lovers of Jesus, those who boast in Him and Him alone (1 Corinthians 8:3).
