It All Started with a Glance

Y/N's POV

it was prom tomorrow and i already have a dress but the problem is no one has asked me yet. i already thought about going to it without a date and all my friends got a date and i'm basically a loner...

we were at lunch sitting down and i would take glances at my crush, ethan dolan. the older twin of grayson dolan. whenever i look at him he would look at me and i rapidly look away and blush and sometimes see him chuckle at me and leaving me red as a tomato.

Ethan's POV

"bro, ask her out!"grayson groans, she was always looking at me and i caught her and she would look away and blush and it made her cute.

"she might say no and does she have a date already?"i say and grayson shook his head,"he doesn't bro ask her already!"

"okay!"i threw my arms up then i started to walk over to their table i was about to tap her but....

Y/N's POV

i saw ethan making his way towards our table and the girls started the squeal and someone tapped my shoulder,"hey et- Jake?"

"hey Y/N, i was meaning to ask you out to prom."he pleaded and i thought about it and i really don't want to be rude cause i wanna be with ethan.

"i'm sorry Jake i can't, i'm really sorry... why don't you ask your girlfriend?"i apologize and he shrugs and says,"we broke up.." then he started to walk away and i saw ethan on their table with his head on his hands and grayson comforting him and i felt bad.

"i gotta talk to ethan.."i stood up and made my way over them.

"ethan?"i say softly and he looks up at me and said,"Y/N?"

"can i talk to you?"i ask and he nods and stood up and we go somewhere private then i begin to talk,"i didn't say yes to Jake if that's what you want to know."

"what?why?"he smiles and i answer,"i'm waiting for someone."

"oh, i really want to ask you to prom but.. you're waiting for someone that might not be me."

"ethan, it's you."i cup his cheeks with my hand and he looks happy as ever.

"will you go to prom with me?"he asks me and i didn't hesitate i just said yes and we hugged that seemed like forever.

we were at prom already and it was time to pronounce who was prom king and queen but first was the duke and duchess.

"okay we've counted all the ballots for the duke and duchess and the winners are.."our principal says and then cue the drum roll and then he says,"grayson dolan and sophie leya!" then we all cheer and soph started to tear up and went on stage and made their little speech.

"okay now that you've all been waiting for, the prom queen and king and now there will be prom princess and prince!"he says and we all cheer and we started to dance.

"okay princess is Michella Olora and prince is Jake Welling!"he announces and i cheer for Jake, Michella was the Regina George of the school and she was angry when she was princess and that only means one thing...

"ethan dolan and Y/N Y/L/N, prom king and queen please step up and claim your crowns!"i put my hand over my mouth this was like me winning miss universe and we stepped up the stage and ethan placed the crown over my head while i place his. then he went to the mic and said,"i would like to thank you for voting us for prom king and queen and i would like to ask Y/N something special."

then he look at me and went closer and the mic still in his hand,"Y/N Y/L/N, i really like you and when it's lunch time and i would caught you glancing at me and you would look away and blush that was the one thing i like about you, and i want to make this short so.. will you do the honors of being mine?"he went up to one knee and took out a box and it was a necklace with my birthstone in it, the one that i loved!

"yes ethan, yes!"i answer and he threw me up and he placed the necklace over me and he locked it and we shared kisses.

we were now in front of my house talking we were sitting on a swing in the front porch,"thank you for saying yes."

"your welcome, babe."i kiss him one last time before i go inside and we waved one last time then we go now.

i locked the door and slid down smiling.

it all started with a glance.
