I look up at the mirror seeing my own reflection, I smoothen out the dress that I'm wearing for the dinner we were having with the parents of my betroth and himself. I wore a black, backless dress the length stopped just above my knee. at the back was a ribbon that connects the other side to the other then pairing it of with also nude knee high heels.

"You look amazing, Y/NN." My brother comes into my room, admiring the dress I'm wearing right now. I chuckle at the nickname he called me, he called me that since I was 5.

"Come, dad told me to come get you." He says gesturing me. I grab my purse full of my necessities. We walk down the stairs, my mom was at the bottom staring at me.

"You look wonderful, baby." She gasps at the sight of her daughter, I chuckle,"I'm not in a wedding gown, mom."

"Either way, you got your beauty from me." She sasses, I laugh as we walk to the car hand in hand.

We arrived at the restaurant, it was a five-star Italian restaurant, the last time we ate here was my mom's birthday which was a month ago. Their food is amazing!

"Reservation for?" The receptionist greets us with a big smile.

"Dolan." My father answers. Then she nods, leading us to a table with a family of three sat on. Each of them greeted my parents then me and my brother.

"Ah, Y/N. We heard a lot about you!" Lisa, the mom, gasps when she saw me.

"You look amazing, sweetheart." Sean, the dad, compliments, I smile replying a thank you to him.

Then the man I'm betrothed to stands up, faces me. We gasp when we saw each other's faces.

"Ethan?"

"Y/N?"

"You two met?" A voice says, the voice belongs to my father. Ethan nods at him,"We met at the park."

"Then got ice cream." I chuckle, we didn't need any greetings, we just sat down and ate.

We were in the middle of dinner, eating our main courses when they've decided to drop a huge bomb on us.

"We bought you two an apartment in Los Angeles cause we thought that maybe you would like to spend some time with each other." Sean informs us, my mouth hung agape at the news. I was about to speak when, he added,"because they wedding is happening next month."

I was downright frustrated, I gripped at the fork to tight that I slammed it down, I felt someone reach for my hand and it was Ethan, he gave a reassuring smile, then called a waiter and told him something.

Before I knew it, the waiter came back with ice cream, Ethan smiles at me handing the ice cream to me.

"Nothing that ice cream can't fix, right?"
