I hadn't spoken to Eva in a week. I was too bothered by her attitude and nasty vibes. Whatever had her acting out of character needed to stop, instantly.

I was currently in my room editing different photos that I had taken over the past few weeks. I had been working so much that it was hard for me to find time to sit down and work on what I loved.

My music was blasting since Eva had company over and I didn't want to hear their loud ass mouths. I wasn't sure who was here but I definitely heard Latoya's disgusting cackle about an hour ago. That was enough to get me to break out my speakers and tune them out.

After going through dozens of photos I decided to suck it up and go out to get a bottle of water. I was thirsty as hell and I wasn't going to let myself suffer because I didn't want to face people in my own house.

I sat my laptop down and walked out into the hallway. To add to my dramatics, I peeked around the corner to see who was here first.

I let out a silent cry when I saw that it was Latoya, Rob, and two people I did not want to see, Courtney and Justice. Courtney was laughing at some joke someone told and Justice was face deep in his phone.

I threw a small temper tantrum but ended up hitting my toe on the wall in the process. "Fuck!" I yelled and held it.

"Devyn? You okay girl?!" Eva yelled. I sighed and walked out limping a bit. I didn't answer her but I threw up a wave at everyone on my way to the kitchen. Once I was finally in there, I properly examined my toe to make sure I hadn't hurt it bad or chipped my polish. I had just gotten a fresh pedicure with white polish and I would literally cry if it was messed up.

Once I saw that my toe was okay, I grabbed my water and headed back to my room. "Devyn! Come out of the cave!" Eva yelled at me. I rolled my eyes and slammed my door closed. She couldn't possibly be serious.

I flopped down on my bed and opened my water, taking a sip. My phone vibrated so I looked to see who it was. I tensed up when I saw that I had a text notification from Justice.

From: Big Baby J🙄
You good? Why you ain't come out?

To: Big Baby J🙄
I'm fine.

He started to type so I waited to see what he had to say. I dont know why he was texting me. He was the one that didnt want to talk to me anymore. The text bubble went away so I threw my phone down and picked my computer back up.

Not that long after, my door was opened and in walked Justice. He closed the door behind him and our eyes met. "Why are you in here?" I asked him.

He smirked. "Because I can be."

"Your girlfriend not patrolling you?" I asked bitterly.

"Girlfriend? I wasn't aware I had one" he said looking confused.

"Courtney" I stated blatantly.

He laughed. "That's funny as hell Devyn. You know damn well she could never."

I shook my head. "I dont know anything. From what I hear, you guys are really hitting it off."

"Who told you that lie?" he chuckled.
