"Devyn Reneé Cheng, if you make me late to my own party. I will murder you" Eva said from my doorway. Today was her birthday and she was hosting a pool party to celebrate.

"You can leave. I have a car you know" I said smartly.

She groaned. "I don't want to show up alone. How lame is that?"

"Um, not lame at all" I said feeling a pillow smack me in the face not too long after. I punched her in the arm. "You messed up my damn lashes. Now I have to re-glue them you wench."

"Bitch its nobody for you to look good for. You need not to show me up at my own party. You already showing off your figure. I'm gonna have to pull niggas off you" she laughed.

I finished fixing my lashes before finally responding. "You're really grumpy. I hope you find a man tonight."

"I'm still mad at you for not revealing who's been all in your crotch" she said and poked me in the head.

"Um, thats because you don't need to know. I'm ready, lets go" I grabbed my bag.

"Yes! Come on!" Eva ran to the door. I noticed then that she was barefoot.

"What shoes are you wearing?" I asked her as we walked out the door.

"They're in the car."

I made a disgusted face. "You're about to walk down these dirty ass stairs and to the car barefoot?"

"Yes, yes I am" she nodded. I gave her the Waka Flocka Flame "ok" look and we were on our way.

Eva was throwing the party at her parent's house because they had the space in their backyard and a pool big enough. Plus, she wanted all of her family there as well so it was convenient.

It took us about thirty minutes to make it to the house and I wasn't surprised to see that the party was already popping. Eva's people were from the caribbean so they knew how to celebrate.

"I have arrived! Where are the drinks?!" Eva shouted as we entered the house.

"You dont need to get drunk yet! Wait 'til everyone gets here" Her mom scolded her before pulling her into a hug. "Happy 23rd my lovely!"

"Thank you mama" Eva grinned happily.

Her mom hugged me after. "You're thickening up my love, look at you" she held my hand up for me to twirl. I laughed at what she said and Eva butted in.

"She has a man mama. Its from him!" she laughed.

I hit her. "Shut up! Liar." Her mom laughed and walked away. Eva and I went outside by the pool and greeted all of the people we knew out there. We then took seats in chairs that were outside. Eva was texting on her phone.

"Did you invite Justice?" she looked over and asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah he says he's bringing a friend. Thats okay with you right?"

"Perfectly fine. The more people, the better" she shrugged.

We Dem Boyz blasted from the speakers and I watched as more and more people started to arrive. "Hey since its my party, I probably should go greet people. Wanna come with?" Eva asked me.

I shook my head no. "Nah, I think i'll stay here."

She nodded. "Cool. Be back later."

I sat scrolling through my social media accounts for a while. After a bunch of meaningless tweets and photos, I found myself on Justice's instagram. He had just posted a few new photos so I had to like them. I often found myself scrolling through his pictures. It was to the point that he was the first person who's name pops up when I go to search. It was something that I would most definitely be taking to the grave with me.
