What is this sad, burning pain
tearing at my heart,
ripping every single inch of my life apart?
This burning pain drives
me into deep and dark despair,
and not even my closest friends
can bring me back from there.
When my despair is spent and
I go back to life,
my sadness is replaced by
fiery, shallow strife.
I long to find the things
that can give a fresh start,
and this burning pain that I've felt
is a lonely broken heart.
