Chapter 6: "Chunin Exams"!

Boruto's P.O.V.

I had just waking up and I hit snooze on the alarm clock. I looked over to see if Sarada was still here but she was gone. I got up and quickly put on my clothes knowing I couldn't be late to the exams. Today definitely was going to be a long day. I then went downstairs to eat breakfast. My mother was sitting at the table waiting for me to come down. "Good morning Boruto" she said looking at me as she gave my sister a plate. "Good morning Oni-chan" said Himawari. "Good morning Mama, Hima-chan. She then grabbed my plate of Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs. "Ooh Mama, this looks delicious" I say as I feel water build up in my mouth. "Oi! Today is very important for you Honey so I decided to cook something a little better than normal for the occasion" she replied happily. "Arigato gozaimasu Mama!" I exclaimed. I then chowed down on the delicious breakfast. Soon after, I quickly slip my shoes on and took my phone off the charger and ran straight to the academy. There stood a huge line of Shinobi. I quickly went near the most familiar people who usually was at the academy. I then continued to walk through the many crowds of ninja until I seen Sarada & Mitsuki.

"Hey guys" I spoke to them. "Hi Honey" said Sarada. "Mornin' Bolt" said Mitsuki. "Hey! Didn't I say I was only allowed to call Boruto 'Bolt'" she said with an angered expression. "Oi, gomenasai Sarada-chan" Mitsuki said apologetically. I then stood next to Sarada. "Any of you nervous" I questioned. "Not really" Sarada replied eagerly. "Never" said Mitsuki.

"Ok Boys and Girls! The first round of he Chunin Exams is the test rounds. Also called the preliminary round. This is a 10 question test but be careful, these are some of the hardest questions yet" said the announcer.  "Also the teams will be separated" he added.

Sarada's P.O.V.

I then turned to Bolt. He had a doomed expression written on his face. "Are you OK" I questioned. "I'll be fine" he said looking down. "It's just that tests aren't my best strength" he said. "It'll be OK honey, just try your very best" I said trying to comfort him. "Thanks for believing in me" he said as we shared a short kiss. Not too long afterwards, we were all walking to a test room & were randomly shuffled like dominos on a table. Bolt was 3 seats away from me & Mitsuki was way on the other side of the class room. "Remember, the special ANBU team can easily spot you cheating so be careful where you place your eyes" said the instructor. The tests were then passed out & the preliminary round begun! I then scanned the first question. It didn't look easy at all. I then activated my sharingan. "Why are you CHEATING!!!!" yelled an ANBU guard. I froze & turned to look to see an ANBU yelling at a student from the sand right next to me.

"B-but I wasn't, I swear" he said very nervously. "Mmmhmm! I've got my eye on you worm!" smirked the ANBU guard. He gulped very loudly. 'Phew, that was a close one' I thought. I then glanced at Boruto and saw him using a mirror. 'Great, he found a way to cheat too' I thought. I then continued to copy the persons paper ahead of me. We then completed the test and there was another ANBU guard passing out another test. The paper only had one question on it and it was the tenth question. "Behold, the tenth question" said the test administrator. "If you get this question correct, then you pass automatically. However if you get this one wrong then you automatically fail and have to take the chunin exams all over next year" he said. "Ugh fine.....I give up" said one guy. Then suddenly a whole lot of people started to give up. Suddenly, I started to get nervous and scared. 'Should I quit' I asked myself. I then turned to Bolt and saw he was staring at me. He then gave an encouraging smile and a thumbs up, the 7th's signature pose. I then was overflowing with encouragement and continued to push. I looked around to see around 38 to around 45 people at the most. "Well....anyone else" said the administrator.
No one moved. "Well, you all pass" he said. "WHAT" I said out loud. "Yeah" said the administrator. "This was a test of determination and persistence" said the administrator. "Oh..." I said. 'YEAH, WE KICK ASS!!!!SHANAAROOO!!!!!' (inner Sarada)!

I then got up and went over to Bolt to see his face pale. "Why's your face so pale" I asked. "I didn't expect this round to be so easy and it's such a relief" he replied. "Oh" I muttered.

"Well the preliminary round is completed. Tomorrow is the first round of battle so we should rest up" he explained. "Agreed" I replied. The administrator then dismissed all of the students and me and Boruto went back to our assigned dorm (sorry forgot to mention the dorm in the last chapter). When we arrived at the dorm, Mitsuki was sitting there eating some type of sushi that had fish in it.

Boruto's P.O.V.

"Hey Mitsuki" me and Sarada said simultaneously. "Hey love birds" he said. We then blushed and gave him a glare. "What you wanna eat sweetie" I asked her. "Hn, that's new" she said slightly blushing. "I don't really know, but I do know it's not gonna be ramen" she said smirking. "Aww, give me a break" I said. "How about Dango's" I asked. "Hn, sounds good" she says. 'Wow, she's really starting to pick up lots of her father's traits' I thought. When we arrived, we saw ChouChou stuffing her face with dumplings and dangos. "ChouChou, you shouldn't eat so much so fast" said Sarada concerned. She glanced at us and decided to slow down a little. Our waitress then arrived at our table.

"Ma'am and Sir, what will you be having" she said smiling. "I'll having your Chicken Dumplings with soy sauce and with broccoli & cheese" said Sarada. "Same here" I said. She then took a minute to calculate the prices. "OK, I'll be back with your food, would like anything to drink in the meantime" she asked. "Oh yes please. I'd like a lemonade" I said. "A fruit punch for me" said Sarada. The waitress left and came back with our drinks & then left again. "Soo...." I said trying to start a conversation. She then looked at me. "Are you going to be OK tomorrow" I asked. "I'm pretty sure I can hold my own out there" said Sarada with confidence. "OK Honey, because I wouldn't want anything happening to you because you are very dear to me" I said. "Hmph....I'm pretty sure I'm aware of that" she smiled as she blushed. The waiter then came with our plates of food. "Miss Akimichi, would you like anything else" she asked. "Oh yes, my father's coming soon so hit me up with three of your special shrimp combos" she said with a mouthful of food.

'She must come here everyday' I thought. We then sat and ate our food. I looked on my iPhone 7 and saw it was 7:54pm.

"Well we gotta get going  ChouChou and Mr.Chouji" I said. "OK" they both said with mouthfuls of food. "And tell the 7th Chouji says hi" said Chouji. "I will" I replied keeping his word. Me and Sarada then decided to go spectate the Chunin exam stadium to see the terrain and speculate how we could utilize the terrain to our advantage. We then peeked to see a lot of sand, several patches of grass, 3 bushes, and a tree. 'This was the perfect setting' I thought.

After analyzing the terrain, me and Sarada headed back to the dorm.

When we got there, Mitsuki was sleeping. We then got our sleeping clothes ready to take a bath. Sarada went to go bath first. I then waited until she got out of the shower. It appears she out of the bathroom so I got my clothes and went to the bathroom.  I opened the door to see Sarada only in panties and a bra. We both blushed beet red. I then sat my clothes on the towel rack and helped Sarada get dressed and guided her to our bed. I then took my shower. ''Aaaaagh'' I sighed in relief. "Taking a hot shower after a long day is soooo relaxing" I said quietly.

I continued to soak for another 10 minutes until I got out and dried off and put my clothes on. I then jumped on the bed and startled Sarada as she was starting to nod off. She gasped. I then turned the light off and cuddled with her. She faced me and kissed me good night. I kissed her back and we both dozed off into a deep slumber.
