Ch.5 "Practice Makes Perfect"!

Boruto's P.O.V.

I was starting to breathe heavily as I struggled to focus my chakra to the seal on the Flying Rajinn Kunai. I've been training on this technique for two months straight and still haven't even scratched the surface. "Honey, please take a break. You have to be in tip-top condition if you wanna be able to pass the Chûnin Exams the day after tomorrow" said Sarada. "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna learn how to use the Raijinn" I said determinedly. I then threw the large kunai over and over until I could throw it about a good two football fields long. I did this procedure because I knew it would increase my range indefinitely. I then trained my chakra and after about three hours, I've gained more chakra control. Also while meditating, I figured out a new strategy. I can throw a chakra infused Flying Raijinn but chakra infused weapons are guided so I won't just be wasting my Kunai and chakra. I also had two options: hitting the opponent with the Kunai then teleporting to execute another attack to combo or throw a kunai deliberately missing the foe to capture off-guard. I still haven't mastered teleportation which I find extremely difficult to perform. Another hour has passed and still, no luck. It's now 5:22 pm. At this point I was getting frustrated. Outta frustration, I threw the kunai and quickly spiked my chakra which shot dirt up around me and before I could turn around I was teleported. "Wow" I said in awe. "I used the Flying Raijinn" I said gleefully. I then started throwing it back and forth to build a tempo to my throwing speed and refine my reaction time. After another 4 hours of hard work, I finally had mastered it. "I'm done baby! Woo-hoo" I celebrated covered from head to toe in a film of sweat. "That's great" said Sarada as she pulled out a chicken dumpling and fed me. As she fed me, I noticed her sweating a little bit as well. "Did you train as well" I asked. "Yes I did" she said. "That explains the sweat on your face" I said as I wiped a little bit of it off with my palm. "You wanna go take a dip" she asked. "Sure" I replied delighted. I then went and took off all my clothes (except for my boxers) and ran down to the isolated hot spring we always met at. As I was relaxing in the hot springs, I felt a sharp pain in my eye and the palm of my right hand. I winced in pain which caught Sarada's attention. "Honey is something wrong?" She questioned. I could hear the worry in her voice. "Just now... I felt a super sharp sensation in my eye and palm of my hand" I said as I opened my eyes and glanced at my right hand. "Nani?!" I said shocked as I looked in my right palm. I noticed a black diamond that stopped just before my wrist. "What is that?" Sarada said as she marveled at my mark on my hand. "I don't know..." I said as I tried to think of an explanation of where I had gotten this unknown mark. "Sarada-chan" I said looking into her eyes. "Yes Boruto" she said with a sheepish smile. "Do you truly wanna become the Hokage?" I questioned. She shifted her gaze from my eyes. "If you do become the Hokage, what do you wish to accomplish?" I added. Her expression changes and by her expression, I knew she was pondering on what to say to me. "Yes I really do wanna be Hokage Bolt. I still am not sure about what exactly I want to accomplish when I'm the Hokage. But I know it'll come to me in the future" she replies brightly. "Why you asked that" she asked. "So I can support you of course" I say as I peck her cheek. She blushes and gives me a dirty look. "What I do" I said smiling. "Nothing, just nothing" she said smiling back at me. We then return back to the tents where we had already had our sleeping bag prepped. I kissed her goodnight and we both fell asleep in no time.

???'s P.O.V.

I am running through and unknown forest for my life. "Vessel! Where are you?" says the smug voices that I despise. I sped up my pace through the dark pitch black forest. I feel their chakra's rapidly approaching me. I masked my chakra immediately and sped up my dash through the forest even further. I then set a paper bomb on several trees as a trap. Several explosions were initiated when I was about 400 yards away. I feel my breath getting heavy so I decided to slow down and jump through trees instead of running. "Gyahhh!!" I yelled as I felt a sharp pain to my stomach. Someone had punched me. I was sent hurdling to a nearby field. "Finally we've caught you vessel!" they exclaimed. "Urrghhh! I'll never let you take my body! Never!!!" I yelled as I felt my chakra intensify. The diamond seal on the palm of my hand glowed with a red aura and it then transformed into a eerie red pattern. "Arraaahhhhhhh!" I yelled as I formed a hand sign ready to execute my most powerful jutsu....

The next morning.....

Boruto's P.O.V.

I woke up to lots of sunshine. Sarada was already awoken and looked like she was getting ready to return back to Konoha. I winced in pain again as I felt another surge of pain in my right eye and right palm. After we left the Nara Forest, we ran into Shikadai, Chou Chou, Metal Lee, and Inojin. They had already left the forest a couple days before. "Are you guys heading to Konoha as well" asked Mitsuki. "Of course" said Metal Lee. "As usual" said Chou Chou as she takes out a bag of chips. We then continued to walk. Shortly after, we were at the main gate and we were let in immediately (headband affiliation). "I'm going to Ichiraku's. See ya later" she said running towards Ichiraku's. "I'm going to go train with my father" said Metal Lee running to Lee's Secret Training Area. Inojin didn't really say anything. He just walked to the Yamanaka estate. "Later Bolt" said Shikadai as he went to the Nara estate. Mitsuki then stopped at a coffee shop. Me and Sarada didn't separate because we still had a task... We didn't tell our parents we were together yet. "You wanna tell our parents" I asked. "Not yet. After Chunin Exams" she replied. "OK" I said with a hint of relief. "What you wanna do today" I asked. "Today should just be a rest and relaxation day" she replied. "I agree" I said. We then ate at Ichiraku's and afterwards, we walked to my house. "Hey mom" I said. "ONIIII-CHAN!!!!!!" Himawari yelled as she tackled me in a hug. "Hey Hima-chan" I said running her forehead. "Hi Boruto" said Mom "Hi Sarada" said Mom looking at her. "Hi Hinata-sama" said Sarada. "Hey Sarada" said Himawari as happy as ever. "Hey Himawari" said Sarada. "Would you and Sarada like something to eat" said Mom. "No thanks we just ate" I replied. I then led Sarada up to my room and there we slept awaiting for the Chûnin Exams.....
