Akihito Himura

Close to New Earth

August 9, 2303

During the year of traveling with Felizita, she made me get a haircut. Now my hair is a freaking bowl-cut. Who does she thinks she is? Only my mother can make me get a bowl-cut. I can’t believe I’m 13 now, I wonder if my parents even remember me, do they think I’m dead? I hear the door open and turn towards it. There stands Felizita, she walks towards me and puts her hand on my head. Hey, “Happy Birthday Aki,” she congratulates me. I thank her and expect her to leave but she stays. “Are you excited that you’re gonna see your parents soon.”

“I guess”

“ You should know whether you are excited or not. Is it because you feel resentment.”

“ Ugh, you don’t know anything, just stop asking me questions.”

“ I just want you to know…”

“ Hey Feli, its time to land,” Akio said from the doorway. “Alright,” Felizita says as she looks at me.

So when we landed on New Earth and all of us had to go through a security check and go to the immigrant offices. “Akihito, Himura,” said the young lady in a knee-length dress. Felizita got up to go with me and I could see her trying to get Akio to come, he finally gave up and walked with us into the offices. It was very near and organized. The lady behind the mahogany desk looked middle-aged, with slight crows feet and a short, medium brown bob. “ Hello, who is Akihito?” the lady asked when she saw all of us enter the room. I raise my hand and she signals us to sit on the red armchairs she has in front of her desk.  “Well, then who are these young adults?” “I’m Felizita Amsel, I was the one who landed on planet Earth and found the survivors.”

“And what were you doing on planet Earth?”

“Well my assistant, Akio, who you see next to me forgot to charge the ship.”

“ Okay, why are you here then?”

“We are here to help all the people that were left behind and find Akihito’s parents.”

“Himura, right? That was his surname?” the lady said as she type something into the computer she had on her desk. “Well, I have some bad news” she said after a couple minutes. Oh no.
