Its been five days since the people I call my friends questioned their trust in me, but I can’t blame them, I hide too much from them. Its been hard leaving my room since that day, Its like I’m the elephant in the room. I want to tell them, I really do, but it’ll be too painful to remember all the pain. I walk to my personal bathroom and move my hair out of my face.  I stare at it for what seems an hour.

There’s is a young boy with black hair petting a fat white cat in a large bedroom. A woman walks in with bright red hair, “What are you doing with that cat your father is going to kill me, get it out of here, now.” she whispered in a strict voice. The boy shooed the cat out a glass door that seemed to lead outside. Just as he closed the glass doors, a fit man wearing an immaculate suit walked in. “Raven what are you doing here, are you not supposed to be entertaining the guest?” The man said, clearly annoyed. He turned his red eyes toward the boy, who had covered his little suit in cat hair.  “Have you been playin with that filthy cat again?” the man questioned. The boy looked bowed his head silently. “If I see you playing with that cat again I’m going to order one of the servants to kill it. You hear boy.” The little boy nodded his head. “Come on, lets get someone to take all of this hair off of you.” the man took the boys hand harshly and walked out the room, Raven followed and closed the door behind her.

I splashed water on my face, I must have been spacing out. If I tell them now wouldn’t I be destroying the life I’ve made. I would have to go back to being the unwanted boy. I walked out of the bathroom and looked at my mask on my bed. Without it I felt bare and naked, how would I be able to go back. I picked up my mask and put it back on. I’ll just have to tell them, or leave. I can’t be in a place where I’m not wanted. I opened the door to the hallway.

The little boy had grown and now were a frown, uncommon from other middle schoolers. He had just come home from school and had headed straight to his room. On his way there he heard the unmistakable voices of his parents. His father had been yelling to the boys mother, “What is wrong with you? I shouldn’t have married a blume, your race only seems to know how to paint all day!” The boy didn’t want to see or hear what was happening but he could not help himself as he quietly slightly opened the door so he could see through the crack. “You should be taking care of the twins!” the tall man yelled towering over the petite woman. “I thought I could take a break and paint a little…” the Raven said barely any louder than a whisper. “Do you think I trust does peasants to take care of my children?” the man had move his hands to grip onto Raven’s thin shoulders. “You let them take care of Daichi…” Raven spoke of the boy that peered through the door. “He is not my child.” the man said. “What are you talking about, Eito? He is your son. Why do you treat him like this!?” Raven started in a whisper and ended in a yell. Smack. Eito had slapped Raven across the face, the red marks of his hands already forming on her pale face. Tears were forming in her eyes, but the boy had had enough. He swung the door open and ran toward the man he called father, fury burning within.

When I had snapped back to reality, I had reached the lounge. Everyone was looking at me, confused. “Umm, hi, everyone. I know you’re all wondering who I really am, or why I have been hiding it from all of you. So, I’ve decided to tell you.” They all looked at me with waiting eyes. I took of my mask and put my hair to the sides and revealed my red irises, only known to be of the Kurotochians. “I was born in Kurotochi, my father’s home planet, my mother on the other hand was a Blume. From what I can remember my parents weren’t too keen about each other, but my mother used to tell me that she had fallen in love with my father because of his honesty and dry wit. When I was young all I remember was them fighting. My mother said they started argumenting after her second child birth. My father did not like me, much less love me, and my mother turned a blind eye whenever he mistreated me. A few months before my third birthday my mother gave birth to twins. They were believed to be twins of legend of an old Kurotochi empire and my father quickly lost interest in me and his wife. Nothing was more important than the twins that will bring him wealth and prosperity. My father resented my mother because the second twin had been born with a weakened immune system because my mother was too small to nurture the twins in her womb. My real name is Daichi Akuma, and those white haired twins were my siblings.”

“Wait, What?” said Lucius confused. “That crazy girl is your sister. Damn, I don’t mind having a sourpuss sister like you anymore.” Lucius hugged his sister. Dahlia had a face of annoyance. “When did you escape?” Dahlia asked. “Well, my mother kinda went a little mentally unstable and began to blame me for all her problems with her husband and started to treat me just like he did, so I had enough and left when I was sixteen, I was stowaway until the kind Felizita gave me a place to call home.” I answered. “Why didn’t you tell us before?” Felizita asked. “I thought if I told you who I was then I would become that person I was.” I answered truthfully. “So, I’m guessing you want us to keep calling you Akio, right.” Akihito had finally spoken. “Yes, please. And I just have one more thing to say. Thank You for your acceptance.

After that day, I didn’t feel vulnerable without my mask and hair covering my face. Of course I still wore it when out of the ship didn’t want anyone calling Eito. If I know him, he has been holding on to the rage for the past 5 years.
