Chapter 2

"What are you doing here?", Eva tanya. Ty lifted his brow. Seemingly amused of her question.

"Saya tunggu kawan", he answered.

Eva tenung saja dia. With this man standing so close to her and Sugar Belle, dia tiba-tiba susah mau fikir.  She looked at Sugar Belle, at her questioning look. Take her out of here. Kedengaran suara alter ego dia, Layla.

"We have to go"

"But mommy-"

"Come now Sugar Belle", Eva tarik tangan si Sugar Belle dan bawa dia jalan ke arah parking lot tadi. Sugar Belle, seeming to sense something wrong refused to follow her mother. Dia memberontak, tarik tangan dia.

"You said we need to see Kevin", Sugar Belle berkata. Pursing her lips.

"Demam ko macam suda bagus ni. No need to see him", Eva unlocked the car and put Sugar Belle di dalam.

Ty perhati saja dua beranak tu. He had to say that Eva was obviously avoiding him. He was thinking of letting it go, letting Eva and her kid go but his body moved. The next thing dia tau, he was standing di sebelah pintu driver suda.

And he couldn't help but ask the obvious,

"Now now Ev. Are you avoiding me?", dia taru tangan dia di pintu kereta si Eva. The window was not closed.

"Is it because of him mommy?", si Sugar Belle bercakap lagi from her baby carseat. Eva mengeluh.

"I told you Sugar Belle. Ko-"

"Oh yes. Definitely because of me kiddo", Ty menjawab soalan si Sugar Belle. Dia flashed his boyish grin sma si Sugar Belle. Oh boy. Like mother like daughter. Sugar Belle ni pun satu juga. A sucker for good looking men. Dia ni akan buat ramai lelaki kena friendzone sebab dorang buruk.

"Come on Ev. It had been quite some time since we last met. Kupi-kupi dulu ba kita. The lady can come too",Tyson said, referring Sugar Belle as The Lady.

Dia main mata lagi sama si Sugar Belle. Even after all these years, he still looked beautiful. Dia jarang-jarang puji lelaki handsome, let alone bekas boyfriend dia sendiri. But Tyson Gibernau memang a good looking man. If she was still the old Evangeline Bryan, dia mungkin akan melt. Tapi dia bukan macam dulu lagi. Whatever they had was over when he left her for Sarah.

Sugar Belle was smiling from ear to ear. She liked this man.

"Too bad Tyson. Saya tidak minum kopi lagi. Gotta go",Eva tekan minyak, but the car didn't move. Tangan Ty pegang pintu dia. She could see his veins bulging. He was trying to stop her car.

Dia tengok muka Ty and saw him looking stunned. He was looking at the back of her car. She followed his eyes and realized dia sedang tengok si Sugar Belle. Sugar was smiling from ear to ear. She suspected she liked the The Lady remark yang Ty sebut tadi.

Then, it hit her. Her heart was beating fast. Dia tau ka? Palan-palan dia tengok ke arah si Ty.

"Are you sure you have nothing to say to me?" he was pointing at Sugar Belle. "Berapa umur dia?"

Dia nampak urat di dahi Ty mula keluar. His face taut and jaw strong.

Ty punya dunia macam terhenti sekejap masa dia nampak Sugar Belle tersenyum. Two deep dimples on the side of her cheeks. They were so deep there could be hollows in there. Dia tengok Eva. She was so nervous he could see her lips trembling.

If the situation was any better, he would have had pitied the woman. Now dia tida tau apa dia rasa, but he was sure it was not pleasant.

"How old is she Evangeline?", he said, emphasizing her real name.
