So, it took a while to get here, but here's the next installment of the brilliant tale of Alec and Nina. Just kidding. I'm really just looking for an ego boost. Sorry it took so long. I didn't really know how to write the detention scene, as nothing would seem right, so I just skipped the whole thing.
As promised, this chapter is dedicated to my new fan, who is fast becoming one of my all time favourites. I love her comments, they make smile to think that someone is loving the story and it's characters just as much as I am. She leaves brilliant insight in this little world I have created and has also given me a few ideas, not that she is aware of it. It shall remain a mystery until later.
This fan of course, is the one, the only, ........ newhope!!!! (See the build up for you there love.) You are fantastic. I really hope you love this chapter, as I wrote it for you, even though I wasn't stricitly sure of what I wanted it to contain, but then it just ended up writing itself. I can't wait to here from you, and who knows, more chapters may be dedicated to you in the future (you know, if you give me kick ass comments lol).
Anyway, get reading all of you!!!! On the double!!!!! (vote, comment etc)

Detention passed by quite slowly and was fairly boring, except for when Alec would try catch my eye or try and pass me notes. I did respond to some of them, but since there was only a few people in detention, I just ended up finishing my English homework.
"Why anyone would spend their detention doing homework is beyond me!" Alec exclaimed in mock exasperation. We were let out only a minute or so before and we began walking out of the school and towards the car park.
"Why anyone would get into detention in the first place in beyond me," I said in the same tone of voice he used, whilst shaking my head.
"If I remember correctly, Miss Dimatteo, it was you who was interrupting the class."
I looked over at Alec to see that his eyes were filled with amusement and the corner of his mouth was twitching slightly.
"Of yes, Mr. Crawford, you had absolutely nothing to do with that, did you?" I said sarcastically, but I was also trying hard to suppress a smile from dominating my lips.
"Of course not. I'm a good boy," he said the last part with a childish edge to his voice and his eyes were opened wide in fake innocence. I shook my head and chuckled at his antics. It was becoming clear that Alec liked to have fun and always saw things in a positive light.
As we made our way closer to his bike, my cell phone took that moment to start ringing. I pulled it out of my jacket pocket and saw that it was my aunt Suze calling me. I knew immediately what it would be about, but I answered it anyway.
"Hello," I spoke quietly but quickly. Spending too much time talking to my aunt was not good for my health.
"Nina," she replied briskly. I could just imagine her in her black Mercedes with a hands free set attached to her ear, whilst she multi-tasked by driving and check her reflection in the mirror. "You weren't home so I left money for food on the kitchen counter. Order something. Simon and I won't be back until late."
"Fine," I sighed. Another night of take out food. It was a wonder why I wasn't the size of a whale.
"Good," she spoke, and with that, she cut off the conversation and I was left standing listening to the dial tone beeping. No asking where I was, or why I was late. Or even a simple bye. Well, that was Suze. So sweet and caring!
I flipped my phone shut and put it back in pocket and it was only then that I noticed that Alec had stopped beside me, instead of carrying on to his bike. He had one of his eyebrows raised in curiosity.
