A: Hey, want to go to the movies tonight? A few other people will be there too :)

Adam texted me and I smiled down at my phone. Adam Collard was a year older than me and I had always thought he was absolutely goregous. He had straight sandy brown hair that messily swept across his forehead and brown eyes with freckles faintly splattered across the bridge of his nose and cheeks.

We had talked a few times before and I really started to like him. He was funny and nice but almost every girl at our school liked him, so I never thought he'd want to be anything other than friends. He would wave at me in the halls and smile every now and then, but we've never really hung out.

B: I'd love to :) who else is coming?

A: A few of my friends, I'm not sure if you know them, but I'll definitely introduce you to them tonight.

It starts at 7:00 by the way, see you then :)

I smiled like a fool, and Sophie's name showed up on my screen, like she knew what just happened

"Hey, babe. Are you doing anything tonight?" She answered.

"I am, actually."

"That sucks, I wanted you to come over. What are you doing?"

"I have a date..." I told her and grinned.

"With who and why didn't you tell me?"

"Adam and I would've told you."

"He asked you on an actual date?" She asked in disbelief.

"Well, not really. A few of his friends are going to be there." I confessed.

"Ahh, I see. When are you going?"

"Tonight... In like two hours, actually."

"Well I'm not jealous at all. Let me know if any of his friends are available." She said and laughed. "See you tomorrow."

I laughed and said bye, before hanging up.

I had changed into a nice pair of jeans and a loose, long-sleeved, brown sugar coloured top. I applied a light amount of brown eye shadow, some mascara and eyeliner and went to the theatre, walking inside to see Adam with his friends waiting for me.

I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around and smiled at me. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans with converse and gave me a brief hug before turning towards his friends.

"This is Taylor and Shawn," He said, pointing to a girl and guy in front of us, holding hands. They both smiled at me and politely said hi.

"And this, is Gabby and David." Motioning to his two other friends. "And I already bought your way in." He said and hardened me a ticket.

"Oh, thanks. You didn't have to do that." I said.

"It's no big deal." He said and shrugged.

We all bought our popcorn and drinks then went to take our seats. I sat at the end of the row with Adam beside me, then it was Gabby and Davin and Taylor and Shawn.

The film started and it was called "We're the Millers". It was about a pot dealer than makes a fake family in order to move a huge shipment of weed into the U.S from Mexico and it was incredibly funny, keeping my entertained the whole time.

When it had finished, Adam took my hand and lead me out of the theatre.

"I had a great time." He said.

"Me too." I agreed shyly.

"I'd really like to do this again."

"Yeah, I'm free on Saturday if you wanted to do something then," I suggested and he nodded.

"Wonderful. See you later." He said and leaned down to kiss my cheek.

"See you later." I replied, feeling the blood rising to my cheeks a bit and he walked back to his friends.

I started walking to my car and touched the spot where he had kissed me, wanting to dance around. I bumped into somebody who seemed to be in a rush.

"Oh-sorry." I said quickly and I looked up, my eyes meeting familiar green ones. "How did you know I was here?" I asked Harry angrily.

"I didn't." He chuckled.

"Yeah right." I said and started walking away, my feeling of joy vanishing as he caught up to me.

"How was your date?" He asked.

"It wasn't a date."

"Mhmm... Who is that kid anyways? He looks very.. Proper." He snickered.

"I like him. He's funny and sweet and way more nice than you'll ever be."

"I dont ever want to be like him anyways." He spat.

"So what do you want to be? Some asshole that sleeps around with girls and gets drunk and high at parties every weekend? Oh and not to metion being able to put someone in the hospital. Seems way better." I said, rolling my eyes and trying to remember where I parked my car.

"I dont get drunk and high at parties." he said, not mentioning the other things I had said to him. "And I didn't put someone in the hospital." He lied.

"I could smell the alcohol on your breath that one night and saw you Mark and Christopher passing around what looked like a joint. And yes, you did. I know about that."

"I said I didn't get drunk, not that I didn't drink. I only had one drink that night. And it was just them smoking." He said.

"Why did you almost kill that guy anyways?"

"I didn't almost kill him. It was just self-defense."

"You were defending yourself?" I scoffed, finding that verry hard to believe.

"No, someone else." He said and smiled like he was proud of it. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and clicked a button, trying to locate my car. It was dark out as well and I could barely see anything, which didn't really help.

"Can't find your car? I could always give you a ride home..." He said and took a step closer to me. I tried to keep my breath steady but my heart was beating too fast.

"N-no..." I stuttered, ready to pull out my phone in case I needed to call somebody.

"Calling Mr. Perfect?" He asked, most likely referring to Adam.

"No. Just leave, Harry." I said and starting walking down the isle of cars, finally finding mine a little ways down.

"You can't tell me what to do, princess." He said and I cringed at the name. I got to my car and started unlocking it. "This is your car?" He asked and laughed at the run down vehicle.

"Its better than nothing." I said,

"I honestly think nothing would be better." He told me and laughed again.

"Just stop. Who do you have to be such an asshole all the time?" I asked and stopped what I was doing to face him.

"I'm not." He said defensively. "Why do you have to be such a bitch?" He asked and I couldn't believe him.

"Piss off, Harry. I don't even know why you're talking ot me." I said and he looked at me with his hands in his jacket pockets, a look of anger and hatred on his face.

"Neither do I." He said and walked away.
