"I'll pick you up at 8:00." Adam said and leaned down, just barely pressing a kiss to my lips and hesitantly pulling away, realizing what he had done. He cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Okay. I'll see you then." I said, breaking the tension and he flashed me a smile, squeezing my hand before walking in the opposite direction.

I turned around and touched the corner of my lip.

That was our first just casual kiss as if we were in a real relationship and all I could think about is how if Harry kissed me like that, it would've felt a million times better. I don't know if it was just because I was caught off guard but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I shouldn't be thinking about it, though. I can’t.

"Hey, Blair. I got invited to that party tonight, so you're the lucky gal going as my date," Sophie said as she suddenly appeared next to me.

"Adam already wanted me to go with him.” I said apologetically. “You can tag along, if you want."

"Best friends then asking me to 'tag along?' Ouch."

"So...?" I asked and she smiled.

"I guess I can stand it. It's not like I'm going to be around you two the whole night anyways. You're way too boring." She said, nudging me with her elbow.

"Great. Come over around 7:00 so we can get ready and Adam's coming at 8:00. But right now, I have to go home and finish some homework so I'll see you in a bit." I said and waved, before exiting the school and walking out to my car to drive home.

"I only brought this dress. It seemed to be the right decision." Sophie said and pulled out the dark blue material, lying it carefully on my bed.

"It was." I agreed and walked over to my closet, opening it and pushed through the small amount of dresses I had. "I think I'm just going to wear jeans. I don't feel like dressing up too much." I said reached into my closet for them.

"Don't you want to wear something pretty for Adam?" She asked and I laughed. She came up to my closet and picked out a deep purple colored dress that I hadn't worn in a year. I didn't like the way it clung to my body like a second layer of skin.

"No way."

"It's sexy."

"Which is why I'm not wearing it."

"Come on, Adam will love it."

"He's not that kind of guy."

"I'm pretty sure all teenage guys are ‘that kind of guy.’" She said and threw the dress at me. I sighed and turned around, taking off my jeans and top, sliding the second layer of skin on.

“I don’t like it.” I said, fidgeting and moving the fabric around on my body.

“You look hot.” She said and I raised my eyebrows. “It’s true. He’ll love it.”

“I feel... Uncomfortable.”

“Stop complaining.” She groaned. “Can I do your makeup?”

“No.” I groaned. “You did enough with the dress. I think I’m good with mascara.”

“Then your hair?”

“I’m just curling it.”

“When did you become so boring?” She teased and I rolled my eyes, turning away and adjusting the tight fabric over my body.

“Adam’s going to be here in a half an hour.” I called to Sophie, who was still in the bathroom.
