The sun shone through my window and I groaned, curling up in my warm, comfortable bed. I cursed at it for always being more comfortable in the morning.
I rolled over and looked at my clock. It was 7:50.
I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom, taking the quickest shower then blow drying my long hair, leaving it half damp.
I went back to my bedroom and stripped out of my towel, going ot my closet to get dress. I opened it hurriedly and it was a bit to fast. The doors slammed open and caused a box of the top shelf to shake and collapse of my face, hitting me in the eye.
Perfect.
I clutched my eye and blinked until the pain was bearable and slid into some jeans and a simple top.
I rushed downstairs and got my shoes and bag, running out to my car.
I flipped down the mirror and looked to see a red spot on the outer corner of my eye and knew it would bruise by the end of the day. I groaned and started my car, driving to school legally as fast as I could.
I got in the school as the first bell rang, quickly going to my locker then to my first class, with a slip of paper with a fake reasoning for why I was late. I looked at the other students, noticing I was the last one to show up.
"Late, Ms. Evans?"
"Sorry." I apologgized, handing him the paper, slipping into my regular seat at the back of the class.
"What happened to your eye? Did you get beat up this morning?" Sophie asked and I smiled.
"Yes, by a box falling from my top shelf." I replied and focused my attention back to the front of the class.
My classes dragged on almost endlessly until lunch and I went to my locker, seeing Adam leaning against it, looking down at his phone.
"Hey." I said.
"Hey," he replied and smiled, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Are we still on for Saturday?" He asked and I let out a laugh.
"Eager now, are we?" I said and put away my English book.
"Maybe a bit." He admitted and rubbed the back on his neck.
"But, yes. We're still hanging out on Saturday." I said, clutching my book to my chest.
"Great..." He said and I closed my locker, turning towards him. "What happened to your eye?" He asked, touching the sensitive skin with his thumb.
"I've got an evil box in my closet that likes to fall on me." I said and he laughed. "I just don't want it to bruise too big."
"Don't worry, you'll probably look badass." He joked. "Sit with me at lunch?" He asked and I nodded.
We walked into the cafeteria and sat down at a table with his friends, a few of them I knew from the movies and there were two others I hadn't seen before.
I sat down and saw Sophie walking by. She raised her eyebrows at me, looking over at Adam and smirking. I rolled my eyes and looked down, pushing my food back and forth on my plate.
At the end of the day, I was completely exhausted and went to my car, putting my key in the ignition and twisted it. It stalled for a few moments, then quit out.
"No..." I groaned, trying again and again. I got out with my bag slung over my shoulder and heard a deep accented voice behind me.
"Need a ride?" Harry asked me and I jumped, turning around.
"No, I'll call-"
"Who did that to you?" he asked, tilting my face up and examining the bruise on the side of my face. I sighed, turning my chin away.
