chapter 13

"Lets go check out the town while we wait for the chopper." said Tam walking towards it tossing his mask.
My instincts kick in. "No wait." Then before i knew it several ghouls jumped him.
They began ripping his cloths off to get the flesh.
Everyone went into a panic opening fire at them. Flashes of the bullets burst out dropping whatever it hits. The screams from Tam as they eat him.
"Seize fire!" I ran out popping heads and pulling bodies off of him. Other ghouls started pouring in from all angles. The fire fight started once again.
My entire team at disarray panicking into a killing spree.
I ripped the last ghoul of of Tam finding his throat ripped out.
Shit.

Who ever is left started running into the town. Marlev dropped the case booking it.
Susie was just standing there in total shock. All the ghouls ran after the rest so I tried shaking Susie.
"Wake up Su, wake up." I shook her some more. Her body is stiff. Frozen with fear.
Nothing is going right today. Early in the morning lost a man to stupidity, now maybe more.
"Tom." She stuttered. "Help them." saying it in a low whisper. Then began to cry.
I picked her to put her down on a ruined bench.
"Help us boss!" Hiro screamed through the top floor of the bank window. "They are gonna tear down the door any second please!"
I don't know what came over me but in an instant I was uncontrollably mutilating the attackers. My machete was out slicing them in a blink of an eye.

Blood sprayed the concrete. More came charging out to stop me. From behind something scratched my back deep.
Flinging my free arm I heared a crack.
"Get your ugly asses off me!" The transformation began.
The shirt I was wearing ripped apart. Grey hair and muscles began to grow. My face altered itself into a head of a wolf.
Droppping the machete I gripped a one by the head slinging him into the crowd. With a defining roar they stopped. Backing up slowly.
Why did they stop the assault. Who cares they are all going to die.

Stance wide I lunged forward tearing through the wall of rotten meat. They started to attack once again. The crowd pushed me back into the main road. Gunshots started up spraying around me.
My vision had become very different. Blurry around the edges and in the center who ever is in it. Everything became yellow.
A helicopter soon drowned out everything. I stopped. Evryone halted like manikins looking at the chopper hovering with a huge turret mounted under the cockpit.
Ow, shit.
I jumped into the bank. The pilots began shooting down into the street scattering what stood there. As it kept churning out lead some ghouls got smart and ran into the forest or anywhere to provide cover. After it went silent the chopper had landed.

I slowly become undone walking out into the street with my hands up hoping they wouldn't shoot.
Susie got up, as for who was left came out of the bank. It became hard to stand with all the blood and guts that littered.
Trying not to slip Susie pulled me to the sidewalk. "Are you ok?" I asked giving her a hug.
"Im fine." She shuddered.

"Boss have you always had a tail? Marlev asked as Hiro went to get the case.
