Chapter 15 Garrett de Leon

"Leon, magtatry-out ka ba mamaya for the team captain position?" Tanong sa 'kin ni Terrence matapos ang first subject namin sa araw na iyon. Actually, it was the first day of classes for that semester. I'm still in my 3rd year level of Business Administration course at ganun din si Terrence Manlangit. Although, mas matanda lang ako sa kanya dahil for the last two years, I went to Australia to help my grandfather's rising airlines - The Lion Airlines. Sa Australia kasi ang main headquarters nito.
Because of it, huminto muna ako sa pag-aaral to focus on our airlines. Kakabreak lang din kasi namin ng long-time girlfriend kong si Sabrina because I caught her cheating on me - and living in Australia for awhile also helped me in diverting my attention towards other things - like our family's business.
Last week lang ako nakabalik sa Pilipinas kaya naman balik na ako sa university ngayon.
"Depende. Alam mo namang two years na akong hindi nakakapaglaro ng basketball. You were even a freshman back there. Now, magkaklase pa tayo, making me look old." I joked as Terrence just laughed at me. Magkakilala kasi kami 'nung magtry-out ito 'nung first year niya para sa CABA Basketball team. Isa ako sa mga nagjudge kung pwede siyang maging miyembro ng team - and I was the vice-captain of our team. Then he passed our try-outs because we saw a potential in him.
Papunta na kaming dalawa ngayon sa cafeteria nang masalubong namin si Aidan Villongco - my childhood best friend who's also a varsity player in the College of Engineering basketball team.
Honestly, hindi ko na siya masyadong nakakausap after I and Sabrina broke up. My ex-girlfriend is his older sister at 'nung nagbreak kami, I learned that Aidan already knew his sister was cheating behind my back - pero hindi niya sinabi iyon sa akin. I was mad about it. Nag-away kami at nagkasuntukan kaming dalawa then the next day, I flew to Australia nang hindi na sila kinakausap.
But that was years ago already. I've moved on and forgot what happened to us.
Aidan was laughing with some of his pals pero gaya ko ay napahinto rin nang makita ako.
"Aidan." I called him. But then he suddenly smirked.
"Motherfucker." He laughed at me then together with his group, they left afterwards. Napakunot-noo naman ako sa inasta niya. What the fuck?
Until now, galit pa rin siya sa 'kin? I should be even the one who must be mad but I didn't give any shit about it.
"Anong problema 'nun?" I just shrugged at Terrence's question. Wala naman talaga akong pakialam. It's his choice.
