~When your tuner is broken and you play an E string but it shows up as a D string. Or doesn't show up at all...
~When someone sees you playing and goes 'Ooo! Can I try?' and then immediately starts messing with the knobs you use to tune. (Do you know how many strings I've broken that way?)
~When you're sliding and your finger slips off the fretboard... OH THE HORROR...
~If you have short fingers (like me) and try to play scales or arpeggios...
~Forget becoming a hand model... I remember the first 6 months I played guitar and literally died because my fingers hurt so much... They were literally throbbing and the skin peeled off...
~Two words: Bar Cords. (That's when you put one finger over all the strings and then adjust your other fingers to make a chord)
~Hammer-on... or pull off... or slide... or literally ANYTHING on the sixth string.
~When you play a piece that has open 6th or 5th string and ALL YOU CAN HEAR ARE THOSE STRINGS VIBRATING.
~Changing your strings every 5 months because they rust so fast...
~1st strings are forever breaking...
