Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, and learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

October 19th 2022I still remember this day vividly. It's been a long time, but I remember with every detail. I was rushing home from the train station drenched due to the rain. I knew you were worried, so many people had been stranded at the train station with no ways of getting home.
When I walked in the door, you stood up abruptly from the sofa. I saw a tear fall down your face. I was right, you had been worried sick for me. I hugged you and assured you that I was okay, I was safe, and I was never going to leave again.
That was when I pulled out the small white bag from my coat pocket. I started to tear up. You wondered what was wrong. I took off my jacket, revealing the suit jacket I was wearing underneath. You didn't understand. I wasn't at a meeting that day.
I opened the bag and took out a small black box. I also took out a small rectangular white case.
I opened the white case and I fell on my knees.
It was a key. The key to our new home. Our "forever home". We cried. But I wasn't done. I asked you to stand up but I stayed kneeled on the group. I put on knee up and opened the small black box.Inside was two wedding bands.
"Will you be my "forever man?" I smiled brightly and we both continued to cry.
You didn't hesitate."Yes. One million times yes!"
And that was the beginning of the final era. The final era of dan and Phil.
