Ash's POV
"That's all I need to know," a sweet but angry voice said.
"S-serena?" Calem nervously asked. "W-what did you hear?"
"Everything from when you said why you like me. Calem Xavier, we're through!" Serena shouted. Gasps arose throughout the room.
"B-but.." Calem trailed off.
"See ya. Who's the loser now? C'mon Ash, let's go," she walked away, smirking.

Serena's POV
After school, Ash and I started walking home together.
"Hey, what you did there with Calem was brave," he said, my cheeks heating up a bit.
"Uh t-thanks I-I was just doing what was needed to be done! Getting Calem out of my life!" I cheered.
"I can't believe you-know-what was the reason why he even looked at you. Isn't that horrible?" he asked.
"I agree," I said, remembering those terrible words.
"At least he is gone now and out of your way. You deserve much better than that trash anyway," he said.
"Yeah, I agree. Thanks for confronting him for me by the way," I said.
"Hey, no problem that's what friends do," he responded.
Friends. That word hit me like a brick wall. I just didn't like the sound of me and Ash being just friends. It felt like I wanted something more. Arceus knows, I'll talk to mom about it when I get home.
"Alright we're at your house," Ash snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Thanks for walking with me. See ya later!" I called. After I closed the door, I sighed happily and thought about how I felt with Ash. That's when it hit me.
My love for him has returned.
