The falcon perched itself on one of the electrical wires. For a moment, it was still.
Until it spoke in a clear, deep voice. "Wake up, Zane. I know where you come from."
This proved to be a dream. Said ninja woke up with a jolt, banging his head on Kai's bottom bunk.
Rubbing the back of it, he got to his feet. The sound of the falcon crying out was heard. The entire room was empty.
Not even changing out of his pajamas, he walked into the Bridge. Inside was Wu, Nya, and Scarlett.
With a smile, he said, "The hunt starts early today."
"A watchful eye never sleeps," Wu replied.
"As long as Lloyd and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Ninjago is safe." Nya shook her head to emphasize her point.
"You guys have to get stronger; he could be releasing another tribe at any moment," Scarlett added. She was typing on the keypad, but the screen was blank.
"Then where are the others?" Zane asked.
"Training on the upper deck," Wu told him.
Again, he didn't even bother changing before heading out there. The deck was also empty.
The cries of the falcon continued to ring through his ears. This time, Zane found him perched on one of the poles.
His lips curved upward, reaching his eyes. "You were in my dream, little friend. Last time I saw you, you led me to good fortune. What reason have you returned?"
Instead of giving some sort of response, the bird flew off. He followed it up until the edge of the deck, but soon found that it had disappeared.
The sound of heavy breathing behind him announced an evil presence, and it really creeped him out.
Zane's eyes widened as he turned around. "Lord Garmadon... but you were banished!"
The dark lord, with pitch black skin and bones glowing through his body, stood in front of him. "Only to return for the Weapons of Spinjitzu." His eyes were a bright red, voice deep and raspy; he was exactly how Zane remembered.
Garmadon pulled out two swords. "Soon, I will have the power to recreate Ninjago in my own image!"
Just before he could strike, Zane pulled out his shurikens and jumped over him.
"Give me your Shurikens of Ice!"
"You'll have to take them from me! Ninja, go!"
He spun into his icy-blue tornado and rushed toward his enemy. Unfortunately, it proved to be in vain; Garmadon easily seized him by the throat.
He then threw him toward the wooden training dummies, breaking each one of them. "So be it."
A rope holding up a heavy cargo was right next to him. Garmadon sliced it clean, and the box began to drop. Zane closed his eyes, fearing the worst.
