"Hey, Alex! I hope you aren't busy!" She said happily. I faked a smile.
"No, I'm not." I totally was, "What did you need?"
"I wanted to ask again if you wanted to hang out. You know, since we're best friends and all, I thought it would be a proper idea to hang out on the weekends." Suggested Eliza.

"Okay! We can watch a movie or something. Mind if John joins too?"
"Oh, no that's fine." She looked disappointed.

We ended up watching a horror movie together while John joined too. They both sat on the opposite ends of me. John snuggled up in a blanket-which I totally wanted to be inside of with him- while Eliza was eating popcorn.
Whenever something scary would happen, I would clutch into Laurens' arm while Eliza would grab my hand. Shit, this is awkward. They both noticed and often exchanged glares.

"Sorry for clinging onto you whenever it's scary, Alexander. I'm just not very big on horror related movies." Eliza apologized. Ugh, why does she have to be so nice!? It just makes me feel really bad for being in love with John.
"Nah, it's fine, Liza. I agree with you."
Man. If Eliza wasn't here, I could cuddle with John under the blankets and hold each other as the horror took place. It sounds like such a romantic thing to do but it's true.
Don't get me wrong, I do really like Eliza and think she's a really nice fried to have! She constantly has my back and is just the sweetest angel and I'm honored to be her friend. But I'm simply not interested...
I was relieved when the movie ended, for the awkwardness ended too. The three of us stretched as we thought about what else to do.
"So, what now?" I ask as I stand up from the couch.
