Ein POV
The werewolf had a weird red jacket on. He had his hood on and his nose and mouth were covered by a red bandana. His ears and tail were red, and he seemed....shady. "You know why I'm here Ein." he said calmly. His voice was muffled from the mask.
I punched him. He didn't even move an inch from his spot. I looked at him surprised. The other werewolves nearby also looked surprised. No one has ever not been affected by my punched before. I quickly regained my composure again.
"Why are you here?" I asked him suspiciously.
"I came to warn you and your pack." he said simply.
"What is it?" I sighed.
"Before I answer you, have any of your pack gone yet?" he asked.
"Gone where? Nobody has gone anywhere." I told him getting annoyed.
"You know what I mean," he said. "Has any gone, only left with an almost unnoticeable mark on their necks?"
I gaped at him. How did he know? "What are you talking about?" I asked trying to keep the act on. Come on, keep the act, keep the act.
"I take that as a yes," he said. "I need to warn you and your pack. If you don't heed my warning, your entire pack will die off."
"And how do I know that your warning is true?" I scoffed.
"I'm guessing five werewolves have gone so far," he said simply. "That means that I have gotten here in time. Don't worry, I have no wishes to intrude on your pack, I just needed to give you a warning, and a solution."
I scoffed. "Sure, you do. You DEFINITELY look trustworthy." I said sarcastically. "Well then get on with it. I don't have all day."
He went over to my ear and whispered me a poem. "There's your solution." he said.
"Yeah like that's supposed to help," I told him. "A poem is supposed to solve whatever you're 'warning' or whatever?"
"Yes. And if you don't do it your pack will die," he said. "Well, I must be going. My own pack needs me. Remember what I told you." he said with a smile, then he transformed and ran off.
"Don't listen to that guy, he's crazy," I told my pack. "And anyone caught working with him will become the automatic Omega."
They all nodded and bounded off without another word. That was weird. I thought. I headed home to tell my parents about that strange red werewolf that had stopped by. After I got home and told them about him, they gave me some treats and went to talk alone in the other room.
When they came out, they told me not to believe that werewolf, and that he was some kind of Omega from another pack trying to get accepted into ours. The only problem was.....that was my first and last time of seeing that werewolf around. Little did we know that later, my parents would come to regret the decision they made to not heed his warning, which led to huge consequences for the pack, and my family.
I became bitter about the situation and punched more werewolves than usual for the next couple weeks. I was pretty annoyed and didn't want to have to deal with that type of thing. In Alpha 3, the teacher had to call my attention over five times because I kept thinking about that strange red werewolf, and his strange warning and poem. That's unusual for me because Alpha 3 is my favorite class and I usually almost always pay attention in that class. I walked out of class feeling even more frustrated than before.
That's when I overheard a group of werewolves talking about me. I decided to eavesdrop before I went over and punched them all. I opened my ears and listened.
"-acting kind of strange" said a boy werewolf.
"Yeah, he's been more.......I don't know.....angry?" said another boy.
"Yeah, he punched Greg just for a messed up tie. He's not usually like this." said a girl.
My face turned beet red. I had punched him.....but not for that reason. I punched him because I needed people to punch, so I just made up excuses for the people that I punched.
"Yeah, it's like he's just punching people just for the fun of it then making lame excuses for it." said another girl.
"I don't know......it's unlike him." said the first boy.
"I just know that I don't wanna get punched today by him. Yeesh." said the girl again.
That's when I had to go over. They shouldn't get away with this. I walked over and punched the four of them. Looking startled, angry, and sad, they stared at the ground. "I overheard you talking about me," I told them. "I better not catch you guys again." They nodded. "Yes Alpha." they said in unison. I then walked away, I didn't have time for this.
When I got home my mom ran up to me and told be that 4 more werewolves have died from the same mysterious thing. One of them happened to be a high schooler at my school. They still didn't know a connection between the dead werewolves. "Well, we'll have to see what tomorrow brings." said my dad. I nodded and walked off.
I was curious to see what my parents had seen in that dead werewolf so I decided to find out for myself. I went over to the burial area and dug up one of the freshly dead ones. I ripped open his neck like my mom had done to that other dead one. I peered inside and nearly threw up. Right then and there I completely understood why my parents didn't want me to see what was there. Panicking, I reburied the dead werewolf and ran off.
I had to catch my breath and calm myself down. What I had seen was too horrible to put into words. I didn't know what to think, it was worse than I had expected. That's when that strange werewolf's warning and poem became clear to me. Running back over to the burial area, I thought frantically to remember the lines of the poem. I then took a deep breath, and started reciting the poem.
