Ein's Backstory

Omega Stress

Ein POV

The next day Molly and I talked and walked to school together. It was Friday (finally) so life would be a bit easier. We went inside and it was much quieter than usual. Also, there were a bunch of groups just whispering to each other about something. Molly and I looked at each other, probably wondering the same thing; did word get out? We walked over to the nearest group to find out. "What's going on?" I asked. I caught sight of Ted and Gina in the group.

"Word got out about the spotted." said Ted.

"Huh?" asked Molly.

"Apparently about a quarter more of our pack has gotten the disease even though they're not even close to where the spotteds are being kept." said Gina.

I gasped. My parents had never told me this! "What?" I said astonished.

Molly looked down, tears starting to run from her eyes. "Alpha are you ok?" asked Ted.

She looked up quickly wiping the tears from her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Have you heard anything else?" she asked quickly.

"No." answered Gina. "Only that we're starting to lose people faster than ever."

I looked down. This was all my fault if only I could've gotten my parents to recite the poem beforehand rather than dismissing it as some kind of joke. "Thank you." I told them. Then I took Molly off so we could talk a bit more when the bell rang. I stomped my foot in frustration. Molly smiled, "Oh come off it Ein. We can talk later, besides you don't have to worry about your family being spotted." she said. I grumbled and muttered a bit on the bell being the interrupter of everything and how my parents still had a chance of getting it. She gave me a light punch. "Hey, at least your parents aren't spotted. Now come on before we're late for class!" she said agitatedly. "Fine." I sighed. We walked to class together in silence. We went inside and didn't talk until it was time for lunch. "Ein stop thinking about it," said Molly. "The pack's gonna be broken up anyway saving some of our pack members. So don't let this cloud your personality."

I looked at her a bit annoyed. "Molly this is all my fault. And I can't just let this happen. There has to be another way." I said, frustrated.

"Ein stop! You know there isn't a way to stop it. Just lay off-" she began.

I cut her off. "Molly, I'm not only the Alpha male but I'm also the son of the Alphas. This is my responsibility and I need to do what I can. I'M the Alpha. THIS is my fault. Stop butting in and saying I can't DO IT!" I told her.

"Ein, this is all getting to your head, seriously sto-" she started. Then I punched her in the middle of the word stop. This was all getting out of hand. "Molly, just stay out of my responsibilities. Your attempts at helping are just making it worse. So just stop thinking about it, forget I told you anything! I shouldn't have said anything to you in the first place." I snarled. Molly looked at me surprised, even a little scared. Her mouth opened, but nothing came out. I stomped away and ate my lunch outside, alone. What was she thinking?  I thought. Molly can be so stupid at times. Honestly, sometimes I wonder why I even chose her to be the Alpha female over Acacia. My thoughts were interrupted by a fight that broke out near where I was sitting. Molly was nowhere to be seen so I had to deal with this one. I sighed and went over and then stopped. It was just a fight with the Omega, Acacia. Leaving the werewolves to work it out on their own, I went back to where I was sitting and started thinking again, about the red werewolf, about the spotted bug. After lunch was over I ignored Molly for the rest of the day. At the end of the day, I was heading outside when I saw a red werewolf crying. I went over to her and asked what was up when I saw her face. It was just Acacia.

I turned to leave when she cried "Wait!"

I sighed and turned around. "Why should I wait for a poor Omega?" I scoffed.

"Ein, tell me again, why did you choose Molly to be Alpha instead of me? I would have been much better, plus she can get so weak." said Acacia.

"Acacia I have my reasons for not choosing you, and since you're the Omega I don't have to tell you." I said.

"But you were gonna choose me. I can easily hold my own in a fight, I'm stronger than her, she gets shy and not much like a leader, and she's not as smart. You never told me why you chose her and I deserve to know. I WAS YOUR FRIEND!!!" she cried.

"Listen. My reason for choosing her is a reason that even she doesn't know. Nobody knows except one other person and I would prefer to keep it that way. So that you will stop asking me. Let's just put it this way that I was.......influenced. That's not the best word, but I'm not gonna tell you. The fact that you were my friend says nothing. Now since you are the Omega, as your Alpha, I want you to stop asking me. We need to keep this pack in order and werewolves to their true nature. Now Omega, leave me alone." I told her. Then I walked away, how could she think that just because she's my friend she can get information from me? She's so stupid, she doesn't even think of the pack or our true nature. I thought Well, now whenever I doubt Molly, I can keep this little chat in mind. I headed home to see what awaited me when I walked through the door. I knew that the disease had gone into the ground, just like the red werewolf had said, and was starting to kill off the pack. Then a new thought came to mind, what was gonna happen to me?

So Acacia is actually my friend's character so we've been working together on the story a bit. Also.....due to some things that we've decided to add, I will be editing and changing the parts a little bit. JUST A LITTLE BIT, but the story will still be the same, just some appearances will be a bit different.
