Ein POV
I stepped to the edge of the crowd, out of the way of the fight. Acacia's eyes turned olive green and my dad growled. They stayed looking at each other for a bit. Then my dad made the first move and punched Acacia. She fell back, and brought a bunch of vines to aid her. She jumped back up and attacked with a punch and the vines. My dad fell to the ground, but quickly got back up and went for Acacia again. She blocked his punch with her vines and used his strength against him. He flew backwards and into the crowd. He got back up and came back, even angrier, for Acacia. She used the vines to lift her up, and she tried to crash down on my dad, but he dodged it and she hit the ground instead. My dad lifted her up and slammed an uppercut. I saw Acacia trying to fight back, but his punches were to strong. I caught sight of the vines slowly snaking across the ground and going up my dad's legs. He was too distracted punching her to notice. The vines pulled my dad to the ground, and Acacia went down with him. She made the vines lift her up into a place out of my dad's reach. Then, my dad started biting the vines to break the and bring her down. Acacia used this to her advantage and used the vines to throw my dad off the vines and into the ground. She almost fell, but quickly caught herself. My dad then started to climb the vines up to Acacia. When he got high enough, she grabbed onto the vines, and made them throw my dad off of them. She almost fell, but clung onto a part of the vines and quickly got back into a good position. My dad flew over the crowd and landed at the edge of the forest. We waited for him to get back. Acacia arched an eyebrow and started to smile. Then my dad bolted back, through the crowd, and into the circle (to Acacia's surprise). He flung himself onto the vines and pulled them down. Acacia didn't react fast enough and fell. She quickly got back up and started actually fighting with my dad, with the aid of her vines. Fists flew, vines went everywhere. Finally, Acacia fell to the ground, unconcious.
"THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T DEFY YOUR ALPHA!" my dad yelled to the crowd. "THIS HAPPENS! DOES ANYONE ELSE WANT TO TRY?"
The crowd backed away, heads down. My dad smiled, "Good. Now if I see anyone else helping this Omega, the same thing will happen."
The werewolves all ran off, scared of getting beat up by my dad. Then he turned to me, angry about what had happened.
"How DARE you defy your father and alpha!" he roared. "You were supposed to stay out of it. Instead, YOU TOOK HER SIDE!"
"I can explain-" I started.
Then my dad punched me hard. I fell to the ground and hit my head hard. I shook my head and quickly got back up. "There IS no explanation for what you have done. You will NEVER be the alpha male of this pack!" he said angrily. That's when I saw the vines slowly snaking across the ground. I pretended they weren't there and reacted the way I would react to any werewolf telling me what my dad just told me, except to my dad. I punched him so hard he fell to the ground. Realizing what I had just done, I ran over to Acacia's side where my dad finally saw the vines. They had already gone around his body and were now tightening. Soon, they were so tight, that my dad was defenseless. Acacia opened her eyes, got up, and walked to my dad.
"Not so tough anymore are you?" said Acacia in an amused tone. "Are you giving up the position as alpha yet?"
"Never." my dad grunted as he struggled against the vines that bound him.
"Have it your way then." said Acacia. Suddenly, a huge pack of wolves, bigger than the one she had called in the cafeteria during lunch today, came running in. They ran past me and surrounded my dad.
"You know what? I'll give you one last chance," said Acacia. "Give me the position of Alpha, or get eaten!"
My dad didn't answer, his eyes blazing. Then Acacia punched him hard in the face. The vines that held him kept him from being thrown backwards, so his head just snapped back.
"ANSWER ME!" she yelled.
My dad looked down, defeated. "You're the new alpha Acacia." said my dad reluctantly.
The vines fell away and the wolves went back where they came from. My dad stormed away in obvious fury.
"Will you be my Alpha male Ein?" asked Acacia.
I smiled. I couldn't believe this went in my favor! "Of course." I replied.
Acacia held out her hand towards me and I took it. Together, we walked off to tell the news to the pack. By sundown, everyone knew about Acacia and I being the alphas of the regular pack and the pack at school. Nobody messed with us. I stayed out of my house as much as I could to avoid my dad during the days that passed. Our pack had diminished to 20 werewolves (adults. the ones in the pack at the school were still completely safe). Acacia and I closed the school due to there being only 1 teacher left. My dad reluctantly told us who the first 3 werewolves in our pack to be spotted had fought before they got sick, but our search for the pack was a total flop. We found the pack, but there was nobody there that was alive. Acacia tried to find the first werewolf in that pack to get the disease, but the smell of the corpses messed with her snooter. We tried to move the bodies but the stench was too strong, so we had to fall back. We tried again the next day, and this time was able to move the bodies that Acacia didn't say was the first, but the corpse smell was too strong so we had to turn back again. Our pack was now down to 10 adults. Also, since the pack at school had broken up and was now joined with the regular pack, the kids from that pack was now starting to die. Acacia and I went back for about a week before we finally found the first werewolf to had gotten it. By that time, there was only 3 adults and half of the pack from school left.
