Dethroning

Ein POV

After the morning classes (which seemed to take FOREVER), it was lunch. I went to the cafeteria and scanned it. No sign of Acacia. I smiled, walked in and grabbed my lunch. I headed outside to my usual spot and started eating. I noticed that nobody else was outside at all. After a few minutes, I frowned. I grabbed my lunch and went back inside to see a huge crowd outside the cafeteria. Acacia must have revealed herself!  I realized. Panicking, I pushed my way through the crowd (even punching a few werewolves that were in the way) and made my way to the table that everyone was crowded around. I looked up to see Acacia in her Arcane form.

"As you can see everyone," she was telling the crowd. "Arcane werewolves do exist, and I happen to be the more powerful type.

"Prove it," yelled a werewolf from the crowd. "The eye trick was cool, but prove that you actually have the powers OMEGA!"

Her eyes flashed with anger. "Who said that? Show yourself and you will be my target." she said.

Ted popped his head up. "I did. And why are we even listening to an Omega? She could be lying for all we know." he said.

I knew what was gonna happen. I quickly backed out of the cafeteria. Right after I stepped back into the hallway, plants shot in through the broken window and held Ted captive. They lifted him higher and higher into the air. Ted was struggling to escape. The whole crowd gasped and looked at Acacia. Then, more plants came and took Molly. Molly was lifted to Acacia's head level. The pack of wolves that had almost eaten me in the woods ran in as well. And they looked hungry.

"THIS is the werewolf who took my rightful position as alpha." said Acacia shaking Molly a bit.

Molly's eyes flashed with anger. "Let me go Acacia!" she exclaimed. A couple of the wolves snarled at her.

"Arcane werewolves are the rightful Alphas of werewolves. Not petty normals like YOU. Especially a weakling." Acacia sneered. "Whatever reason Ein chose you instead of me is beyond me."

I ran back in and jumped on the table next to Acacia. All eyes turned towards me. "Oh look, your BOYFRIEND is here to save you. Too bad now because YOU are no longer Alpha female." Acacia snarked. I looked up at Molly and mouthed I'm sorry. Molly opened her mouth and closed it as if whatever she was going to say didn't matter anymore. Then Acacia lifted Molly high, and slammed her down onto the table. Molly didn't move, she was unconscious. The wolves ran over to the side of the table that Molly was on. They stopped there and looked at Acacia, waiting for further orders. I looked at Molly's unmoving body, unable to take my eyes off her. Acacia then started laughing evilly. Ted looked wide-eyed and stopped struggling. The crowd of people didn't move, they were petrified. I knew that right here and now she had done it. Acacia had become Alpha female. "WHO'S YOUR ALPHA FEMALE NOW?" bellowed Acacia. "ME? OR THIS WEAKLING RIGHT HERE ON THE TABLE?" The crowd of werewolves all looked at Acacia.

"That's what I thought." she smirked. Then she put Ted down, and not in an entirely gentle way either. Ted stumbled when he was back on the ground and ran back into the crowd. The plants went back outside, the pack of wolves went back to the forest, and her eyes changed back to normal. She stepped down from the table and the crowd parted for her as she walked. She held her head up high with a triumphant smile as she walked to the door. I had mixed feelings for what just happened. No Ein. Acacia became Alpha and Molly is the Omega. Don't worry about Molly, she's nothing now. I thought to myself. 

"Ein, you coming?" asked Acacia. She was standing at the door looking at me. "We have other matters to discuss. Molly is now the Omega, so let's go." I nodded quickly and left with Acacia without looking back. I ignored the part of me telling me to turn back and help Molly. I checked the time, the bell was going to ring soon.

"We should probably go to our classes. We can discuss the matter of the spotted solution after school," I told her. Then I narrowed my eyes. "It better work."

Acacia smiled and punched me lightly on the arm. "It will......trust me." Then the bell rang. "See you later.....Ein!" she smirked. I nodded in return and went off to my class. Right after my last class, I hurried out to the front of the school and waited for Acacia. A bunch of werewolves came bustling out, and then I saw a couple pushing Molly around. Then I saw her knock out one of them. The other punched her in the eye so hard that she staggered back and fell. I looked away, she was none of my concern. Then Acacia came waltzing out. She had a smile on her face. "Hey Ein. I was thinking, since we're Alphas together now, we should be together. Whaddya say?" she said quickly and excitedly. I wasn't really paying attention. "Oh, yeah that sounds great!" I replied. Then she turned around, yelled "MOLLY, HERE'S YOUR BOYFRIEND NOW!" and kissed me. We stayed like that for bit, my brain was still trying to register what was happening. Then she pulled away, and yelled to Molly "OH WAIT! HE'S MY BOYFRIEND NOW!" Molly gave her a hard look and walked away. "What the-what-wh-what the-" I sputtered.

"Sorry about that, I had to. I guess now we're officially together now." crooned Acacia putting her arms around my neck.

"Ok, now tell me about your solution," I said pushing her off me. "What do we need to do?"

"Oh yeah that," said Acacia, sounding a little disappointed. "It has to do with the very first werewolf to get the bug in the pack.

"Ok, and then?" I asked impatiently.

"There will be something inside them that will help stop the spread of the disease. I'm not sure what it is, but I remember that the werewolf that told me said that it would be easily recognizable. It won't turn into a cure......but it'll stop the disease from spreading." she replied.
