Fangs Laid Bare

Something was deeply bothering Jerry ever since he'd came home with his father that night. Just what was his father keeping from him and why was he refusing point blank to answer any questions he'd asked. About his mother, his home life, why he had to kill people...nothing was given any solid answer.

"Ugh it's bloody not fair"

Snarled the child as he punched the pillow beside him. He had also noticed that his anger seemed to get worse and worse too, as though he could not control it. For the past few days it was like a time bomb , he'd be okay one minute and then blow up the next.

"It's his fucking fault."

The boy said lowly as he looked at a photo of his father and himself. Normal a photo as could be, until you looked past the smiling duo and seen the slaughtered bodies behind. Jerry looked at his hands and then clenched them. He knew that he had to find out what was being hidden from him, even if it was saddening..he would forgive his father, right?

"I have to remain calm and ask him nicely about my mother at least...I mean...I could not be born without her , right. That's it."

Gulping, the boy got off his bed and pushed open his door. To his shock, Jeff was in the hallway outside his door.

"How..how long've you been there?"

Jerry asked as he held his chest. Jeff just laughed at the shocked face of the boy and held up three fingers.

"Been here for three minutes, long enough to hear you cuss me out and wonder bout your mom."

The boy was led by the hand to his fathers room and made to sit on the bed beside him. Was he finally going to get an answer at last?! Jerry could hardly wait.

Jeff on the other hand was semi-nervous. He had to make something up, the kid was getting older and more suspicious....if he ever did find the truth...then he'd be killed. He's alive only due to his naive mind. If he knows too much, he'd be killed simple as that. But for now, he will live out the role as his accomplice.

"Listen, kiddo. Reason you don't have a mom, is cause when you were born...she tried to kill you. I was able to stop her by knocking her over and getting you out the water."

This news hut the child like bricks. His mother...tried to kill him and..his father saved his life?

"After that, I left her and I took you with me. I couldn't risk you dying. I couldn't lose my son."

Jeff didn't know why but his own story was making him feel emotional, even though it was fake. Why was he feeling emotional.

"Anyhow. I know I may not be the best father, hell sometimes I treat you like shit. But...I'm scared too, y'know. So if you give it your all, I'll do my best to give it my all. Okay?"

After this little revelation, Jerry felt bad for doubting his father. He tried his best for him everyday and he was met with speculation and betrayal. No, he'd not doubt his dad ever again, it was them against the world.

"By the way, I've got a location for that other bitch. Are you ready to hunt with your old man?"

Jeff held out his hand and Jerry nodded.

"Let's put her to sleep."

That night, the duo set their camp up in the woods . Jerry knew his role, he had to knock her out and then break her caps. His father would take it from there.

His mind went to Sara and how happy she'd be to never get hurt again and how they would smile and laugh at school. The thought furthered his resolve to hurt the bitch.

"Jerry, you're up. I see the light go out. Now, any sign of it getting rough, get your ass out and back to this tent. When you get in, buzz me and I'll make my way up. I'm counting on you not to fail son."

Jeff said seriously to the boy. Jerry nodded his head and saluted.

"I won't let you down, father."

Well here is another one.

Will Jerry break in safely, or will something bad happen.

Gotta read to see.
