Jerry was still in shock from finding the truth out about Jeff. He was not his father and all these years, he'd been living in a lie. All the memories of him growing up in the arms of that man, who once made him feel safe. Now filled him with resentment and pain.

It was like a knife to the heart, thinking that the man who raised him was actually one of Americas most wanted killers...how could he have even been so stupid as to believe that he'd been doing something good...those people, the bullies too.. They were people, shitty ones but people non the less..

Now...Sara was in trouble and unless he could take his father down, even if momentarily...she'd be dead and so would he. Jerry looked up and sprinted harder into the woods. But could he do it, could he take the life of the man who raided him, fed him and clothed him all these years?

"No use in thinking now, I have to find them.. I have to find her."

Jerry said to himself.

--

Sara was hiding in a tree that she'd managed to climb just before Jeff caught up to her. The girl held her breath and looked down at the killer circling around like a wolf in search of a meal.

"If you had never gotten close to that kid, I'd let him live. But no, you had to show him that article that was all about me and all about him. So now, since I can't have witnesses, I'll have to kill you both."

Jeff said to no one as he rummaged through bushes and growled.

"But I know your daddy is a cop. And I know, he's never solved that kids case either, bet it eats him up inside to be so useless."

The killer taunted, trying to coax her out of hiding. Then he grinned at the information that he'd learned from Jerry. After all, a son never lies to his parent.

"How'd it feel , having to be abused by your aunt"

Sara froze and stared.

"Your father never believed you either did he, when you had those bruises. He brushed it off as you being too rough. He'd never believe his sister would harm his daughter, would he?"

Jerry had arrived onto the scene and spotted the girl in the tree with tears spilling from her eyes.

"FATHER!"

He yelled without even thinking, Jeff spun and smirked.

"Both teddy bears are out to play now."

Jerry walked forwards with his pipe in hand. This is where it ended, he'd no longer put up with being belittled and mocked by the stranger he'd formally known as his father.

"Enough games...let Sara go and ... I'll do whatever the fuck you want."

Jeff laughed softly.

"Oh , Jerry...poor, stupid fucking Jerry..."

The killer mocked as he stabbed his knife into the tree that Sara was stuck in.

"You say I'm the one who is a kidnapper but kiddo.....in the time that you stayed with me...from the age of 13 and up...you never once ran away. Even as harsh as I was. You came when I whistled. Now why do you think that was?"

Jerry kept his guard up at all times , watching his former father circle him.

"Cause I was a damn teenager and you were meant to be my father, I wouldn't disobey my father."

He said with a hiss as Jeff watched him.

"Exactly , your father and even as I am...a killer, Jerry ...I am still your FATHER"

The words made him feel aggravated, how dare he use that against him..that was low. Jeff was not finished though as he pointed to the tree.

"And her, do you think she's gonna be there after she finds out what you did. Huh? Do you think she'll LOVE you like I do , even knowing what a violent little shit you are."

Jerry blocked the words out as best as he could but it was hard when he was right by him.

"Face it, kiddo...no matter what logic you try and cook in that brain of yours, you know that our blood is thicker than water. You can't live, not without me. So why don't you-"

Jeff was cut off by a smash to the face. He staggered back and watched his former son grip the pipe with tears in his eyes. What was the brat thinking.

"I'll stay....father..I'll stay and I'll be apart of whatever damned crime you want...but only if....you beat me in a fight. FAIR , no cheating....no dirty play, those are my conditions. And Sara is not harmed. If you can beat me...then I'll go with no quarrels."

Jerry stated with as much seriousness as he could, despite being semi nervous. Jeff was laughing by now, so his son really was an adult now...well, he could honour that. Jeff nodded to the conditions.

"But, let's do some place where I know, no one is going to bell.no interruptions, just you and me. And that little bitch of yours."

Jeff watched Jerry help Sara down and hold her close to him. They followed Jeff to an old tunnel system. Jerry knew that this was the last time that he'd see Sara if he lost. The last time he'd see her smile..and that thought was something he had to fight for. Seeing her smile and hearing her laugh.

"You're really silent there Jerry, do you need a hug off your old man?"

The boy just sneered at that remark and shook his head.

"I'm thinking, of how,I'll put you to sleep, father."

Now it was Jeff's turn to sneer, cocky shit..using his phrase against him. Jeff turned and kept walking ahead until he reached the center. Jerry followed not long after with Sara and they shared a hug before Jerry joined his father in the center.

"It's not too late, kiddo. Just kill the whore and I'll not have to make you watch her die all while you're too sore and weak to move."

But as he expected , the boy was not for it. Jeff sighed and looked up , he gripped his knife and smiled.

"Time for my beloved son....to GO TO SLEEP"
