Jeff walked silently down the mansion hallway as he stared with a cold and vacant expression. Liu...Liu was alive...

"...Did I take the kid for nothing...has..has..this all been wasted effort?"

He mumbled to himself as he looked around for any sign of his brother, or any of the other proxy. In the distance, he spotted Masky and ran to him. The male jumped in fright and then just let a soft laugh out.

"Oh, it's you Jeff. Scared me a little with that deadly expression you'd had."

Jeff didn't reply and instead just stared. Masky was getting uncomfortable with the silent treatment that he'd been receiving. He spoke up.

"Let me guess. You know your brother is alive."

He stated and Jeff just nodded. Masky rubbed his temples together, this was why he wanted to wait till Liu was in recovery...he was still very much affected by whatever torment happened in Zalgos world.

Jeff didn't care. He needed to see his brother, he had to let him meet Jerry..Liu has a split personality too. So maybe , he can help the young boy to fight his inner demons, like he done.

"Where is he."

The man snapped and Masky shook his head.

"I've been told , not to tell you. He can't be seen until he's better Jeff. Please Acc-"

A knife on his jugular made him halt. Jeff wasn't thinking straight, if he did try and see his brother right now. Then he'd put himself at risk of going into "Enrage" mode just like Liu is stuck in right now.

"Let me see my FUCKING brother."

He yelled into Maskys ear but the other just kicked him in the nut, forcing Jeff to fall down and hold his crotch. The other male removed his mask and gave him a sad look.

"Let it go, Jeff. Liu won't be back for a long while...think of that kid you have. He needs you more than your brother does right now."

Forcing a portal open, the white masked man shoved Jeff through and closed it. Jeff landed back on the ground with a thud. He just lay there, all his emotions enterrwined at the one moment.

Then...he felt that unrelenting pain that he hated. His eyes were watering and he just let out a loud scream.

---

Krystal heard the scream and dropped what she'd been doing. She didn't know why, but she felt that she had to be there for him, something in her bones just made her run. Jerry was awake now but, luckily. He was still him. Jerome never came out this time.

Reaching the sound of the screams, Krystal held her breath as she saw Jeff.

His body was crumpled and he was screaming hysterically. The girl knew, she had to calm him down. The only other question was..

How?

She walked to him and he spun round. His hair whipping and sprayed in front of his eyes, he didn't want her to see him in this state.

"Get back to the kid, Krystal. I'm fine...I'm...-"

Damn, another wave of tears hut him and he just broke down in front of her. She thought that she'd be happy seeing him this way but...she wasn't. She felt very bad and she too began to feel tears dripping down her eyes.

"Jeffery"

She said. Jeff looked in shock, she'd not used that name for a while now.

"Jeffery. You look at me and you look good. It's. Okay. To. Cry."

She said word for word as she knelt in the mud, her jeans caking with dirt and such. Jeff looked away from her and she grabbed his face in her hands. This made him feel paralysed and he felt like he could not move an inch.

"You always try and do everything alone. You can't. You can't over come life by yourself. You can't just shut me and the kid out, every time something happens that is not to do with us. You said, you're his father. You said you're acting as my husband. Then act like it. Actually make it feel like you are apart of a family. I can't leave. And until that child is taken care of. I won't. Just. Trust us better. Please, Jeff."

Krystal said as she stared him in the eyes and then she smiled, that smile that made him even more weak.

"Cry, Jeffery. Just let it out....I'm not leaving this time. I promise you."

As if a veil was lifted, Jeff pulled her into an embrace and cried harshly into her shoulder, his long, black hair entangling with her own strawberry blond locks. His body shivered with the pain that he'd felt from the grief. The girl just sat there comforting him and rubbing his back.

"....Even the strongest men, have to cry too Jeff. Remember that."

She shushed and they just stayed in that state for a good few minutes.

For once...both of them, felt like they were back in time. Back to when they were kids, only this time instead of Krystal being the clingy one, it was in fact the eldest of the two. Jeff took some moments to calm down and smiled at the girl.

"....Thank you, for not leaving...after all I do to you..."

The man said and felt the girls thumbs wiping at his tears, she smiled brightly.

"What are wives for?"

She said and then they both began to laugh as they headed back to the van. Jerry ran over to them and was asking why Jeff was crying. All Jeff done. Was smile and say.

"I'll tell you more when you're older."
