Y/N POV
I heard Dark walk into my room. I continued to act as if I was reading the potion book I was given the other day.
"Hey, Y/N." He greeted.
I slowly looked up at him and smiled nicely, trying to hide my nervousness.
"Oh, hey Dark. I... didn't hear you come in."
He laughed. "Yeah, that must be why you jumped too, am I correct? Or did something in that potion book surprise you coincidentally when I walked in?" He said, teasing me to the last bit he could.
I started to sweat and my eyes darted twice from the fireplace to his vibrant red glowing eyes.
Why does it have to be so hard for me to hide one little thing from-
"Y/N are you... okay? You seem a little worked up." He began to slowly walk towards me.
"N-NO!" I shouted while jumping out of my chair, dropping the potion book onto the floor. "I mean, yeah... yes. I'm... Fine." I said, correcting myself as fast as I could.
Shit, I stuttered. Oh my gosh. He's gonna catch me...
I took one step towards him, fiddling my hands, trying to distract myself from my own worried mind.
"I... Had a good day. I did..."
"Oh yeah? So... What did you do?" His deep voice questioned. He took one more step towards me, causing us to be closer to each other. While he looked down at me I felt hypnotized by his crimson eyes, staring, not moving away from mine. His white hair barely moving as he watched me.
Dark's POV
I stepped closer to Y/N and looked down at her, staring into her beautiful...
What... Am I thinking...
I mentally hit my head.
I stopped my thoughts and continued to question her difficulty with answering what I had asked.
After about 20 seconds, Her E/C eyes turned towards the floor ending our short staring contest.
"You know, if your not feeling Oka-"
"N-no..." She said quietly, lying again.
"Listen." I said laying my hands on her shoulders reassuringly.
Your POV
My head rapidly shot up, looking back at Dark, becoming shocked from his sudden touch. A light dust of pink spread across my cheeks as I stared at him.
"If anything is wrong you can tell me. I promise, I won't bite." He grinned letting go of my shoulders.
Bending over he matched my height and touched my cheek which then turned a clearly visible shade of red.
"Okay?" He asked.
"Um... Okay."
Should I tell him? Should I?
As if he read my mind he said "It's okay, just tell me."
I breathed out trying to calm down, then began.
"I-I didn't listen to you today.." I told him.
"What do you mean." He titled his head confused. His white hair moving ever so slightly with this action.
"I... I didn't stay in here when you were gone." I held back no longer in speaking the truth.
Telling him the truth could lift a lot of-
My thoughts were cut off by shock. Dark had suddenly pushed me against the wall and pinned my arms up. My eyes became wide as I saw the red in his change to a viscous shade.
"You... What?" He asked in an even deeper tone, glaring at me. I had never seen Dark with such a look as deadly as this. Frozen in fear, I did not answer him. His mood had taken a full 180.
He leaned in closer to my face and hissed through his teeth "What did you see." Letting go of one of your wrists, he reached behind him and pulled a dark sword, that looked like a shadow, right out of the air. It was most likely an act of transportation.
He swiped the sword around and quickly placed it on my neck, lightly.
I tried not to shake as much from the fear I felt, for that would only cause the sword the be drawn closer to my neck.
I felt a stinging sensation on my neck even as he held the weapon lightly there.
Was coming here a mistake?
Was the only thought that came to mind.
*Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang*
A loud knock sounded from the door that was far behind Dark, mocking me, saying I couldn't escape even though it was right there. (So close yet so far, Lol)
Dark growled loudly. "I'm BUSY right now. LEAVE." Towards whoever had knocked on the door.
The door flung open, and through my squinting eyes I could see the maid I had met earlier, that had prevented me from being caught by the returning Dark.
Rose.
"Master Dark! I must talk to you!" She shouted, trying to take his attention away from me. Dark closed his eyes slowly, and turned his head towards his shoulder, showing pure anger. He removed the sword from my neck and whipped around to face Rose who was still standing in the doorway. He walked towards her leaving you. His sword had disappeared. However, the wounds caused by it were still there.
My knees felt weak, causing me to fall to the ground. I held my neck in attempt to lessen the amount of pain. Curled up on the ground, I stopped moving. Everything then faded, leaving only a black blurry vision.
Rose's POV
I know this could raise the chances of me dying but... I want to save Miss Y/N. I would rather die then someone else. I must try.
I looked at Dark's back, waiting for his reaction. I saw his head slightly turn, then he whipped around, facing me. He angrily walked over, then very tightly grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the room. Once slamming the Room door shut, he finally released my arm towards me and said
"What was so important that you had to interfere with my business?"
I grabbed my arm that was in pain because of his tight grasp that had held it.
"1st of all, you would have killed her if I didn't stop you." His eyes narrowed, looking at me. It didn't seem that he cared for her existence.
I exhaled, surprised he wasn't enraged so much with me.
"2nd, once I found her and asked if she had seen anything "weird". She said no and also told me exactly what places she checked out while she was wandering the castle."
"So?" He asked sounding just a quarter amount calmer.
"She said she only checked out the Library, kitchen, and Training room WITHOUT touching any weapons."
"And how do you know you can trust her? After seeing her escape her room, going against all that I've asked of her." His eyes slowly glowing a blood red again.
"Because I know." I told him.
The blood red glow barely faded and he looked down at the ground, causing his strangely illuminated, white hair to cover his eyes. Clenching his fists, he slowly started walking, passing Rose without another word.
Dark's POV
It had happened again. My anger took me over. I was done with myself. Rose is right, she basically saved Y/N by barging in.
My anger had taken over multiple times before, however 1 time I could never forget... The time it caused me to murder one of my only friends. And it had almost happened once again.
As I slowly walked towards my bedroom, a lonesome tear rolled down my cheek.
I just need some time...
