The Truth? (Dark Link X reader)

Chapter 12

Dark's POV
Standing with my arms crossed outside, I didn't even bother to look over at the so called "Akon" servant Zora.

"Dark." His deep voice erupted from his throat. I could simply feel his eyes on me. "Tell me, what do you want with that girl? I know you aren't good. So don't even put that on." He finished. "Don't test me fishman. How do I know you aren't just bowing down to your princess for your own selfish reasons?" I snapped. I could feel my eyes glowing bit with anger.

"Well at least I know how to control myself. Instead of attacking the one who bo-" he was cut off and made a sound of pain. Glancing over, I saw that the princess had grabbed his ear and pulled it down to her height. "O-owww, stop please!"

"I wouldn't need to do this if you stopped being so smart with your remarks brother."

My eyebrow shot up at them as I eyed them. I questioned them. "Brother..?" She sighed and nodded pushing her hood to her shoulders, allowing me to see her full face. She had purple eyes and a blue, green tinted face. Decent appearance, for a fish I suppose. I practically almost rolled my eyes.

"Yes, we're siblings." She responded.
"So why is he serving you?" I asked. "It's his job in my family. Our Oldest sister assigned the jobs alongside Father. She is nonetheless, his favourite out of us."

"Hmph.." I nodded towards Akon. "And what's up with the total royalty? Can't you guys just act normal when you aren't around them?"

"We've just always acted like this. It's normal. Although we do have our moments." She said calmly as her brother stepped in front of her. "Yeah! And this is how you know that I don't have my own 'selfish reasons' id-"

*Smack*

"Pfft.." I couldn't help but almost laugh at the sight of the "big and strong" Akon being slapped on the back of his head by his sister.

Author's POV
You jumped in bed startled by a loud smacking noise. (Y'all better not be having dirty imaginations 😂😂 Dark isn't doing anything)
Feeling your arm quickly remembering what had happened before, to your surprise, it didn't hurt anymore.

Where's Dark..? You wondered as you got up out of the bed. Walking towards the door of the cabin, the door started to open and you hid behind the door.

Oooo, I can't wait to scare him. Trying not to laugh as he walked in you stayed still.

"Where the fuck is-"
"BOO" You yelled and jumped out from behind the door. He practically screamed like a girl, ending with you rolling on the floor laughing.

"Oh w-well isn't hair great to see your doing better." He blushed slightly and tried to hide his face from anyone who could get a glimpse. "Ha. Ha."

"Y-You should have seen yourself." You said in between gasps for air. "No, you should have HEARD yourself." 

Dark's POV
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't be mad at Y/N. Not like I was before. Maybe frustrated yes, but just seeing her with so much joy on her face I could only look away and try to hide the fact that my face was hot. I didn't want to seem weak in front of these Zoras. Even in front of Y/N.

I mentally sighed at my own thoughts. What has this person done to me..? She's made me weak. I just don't understand these feelings. She makes me just want to smile. If only I could just..

I turned around to face the Zoras. "Could you two please leave for a second? I have some things I'd like to go over with Y/N."

"Are you kidding me?" Akon walked into the cabin making hand gestures. "We aren't going to leave you alone with the girl." He eyed Y/N and I glared at him again.

I don't even want this fish man to look at Y/N..

"It's not your business to bud in Akon. But I understand your worry. I do not like to choose sides however." The princess had stated. "So we will give him 5 minutes to talk to her. No questions."

"But sister-"

"No. Questions." She snapped at him and walked out of the mid lit cabin. I heard Akon mumble some nonsense as he walked out of the cabin behind her unhappily.

Turning around to see Y/N, my eyes softened while looking at her. "Dark..? Are you okay?" She asked me with a hint of concern in her eyes.

Author's POV
Dark gently grabbed your hands and pulled you up into his arms. He held you tightly and you felt his soft hair press against the crook in your neck. Shocked by what had just occurred you hesitantly hugged back then nuzzled back into his neck comfortly.

"Y/N.. I.. I was so worried. I'm just glad your safe.." Dark said softly into your ear. You could feel his warm breath again your neck. "Dark.. this really isn't like you. Are you sure you're.."

Dark looked at you and held your shoulders. His ruby eyes glowing a bit. But in a different way then the way you had seen them when he was angry. Blushing slightly, you couldn't say another word looking into his eyes.

"I know Y/N. I don't understand but you just make me like this. I worry for you and I.." his face scrunched a bit in confusion. "I want you to be happy." Then he sighed and removed his hands from your shoulders, his warmth leaving you. "What am I saying? I must be losing it." He stated as he moved his hair gently out of his face.

Staring at his confused form you couldn't help but just inch closer to him studying him more. "Dark I.." Your face felt hotter by the second as you moved closer to him. "I.."

"ALRIGHT PEOPLE TIMES UP" Akon had thrown the door open and you practically almost fell backwards from trying to hide what you had just been about to do.

Well shit.. Y/N thought. Even you were shocked at what you were about to do. He was like a magnet.

Y/N POV
I couldn't help it.

I avoided Dark's gaze as I was simply too shy to look at him after what I was going to do. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and I looked over to see the princess Zora smiling softly at me. I looked at her confused. "Is everything alright Y/N? Coming with a fever?" She laughed softly.

"N-no, I just-"

"I know." She winked at me and glanced at Dark with her purple eyes. Dark looked over at Akon confusedly as he also looked back at Dark.  She leaned close to you and whispered in your ear. "Boys can be dumb sometimes."

You could tell what she was getting at now.. she must've saw what you were about to do to Dark. It was tough.. seeing Link alongside with the always popular Zelda. Always knowing that everyone, including Link, would always love her. I had no chance. And yet here I was, taken in by Dark. The so called "evil" Link who wasn't evil at all to me, but even kinder than the Link I knew before him.

I had definitely grown my feelings for Dark and I tried to hide it since I didn't want it getting in the way of anything. I didn't want to be in the way for him.

Although.. he did kiss me.. does he like me too?  I shouldn't get my hopes up. Just.. don't think about that Y/N. Glancing over at Dark I blushed more then covered my face. I heard footsteps come over.

"Are you bothering her?" Dark's voice erupted.
"No, don't worry about her. She's just a bit shaken up from the side effects of the potion. It'll only take a second." The princess stated. "Now, you said before you needed to go visit Zora's Domain?" She looked up at Dark and he nodded glancing at me.

I really just want to kiss him... ah.. Y/N distract yourself from these thoughts before you get hurt.

I was really feeling like not finishing this story because I bought my writing skills sucked but if you guys really want me to finish it, I'll try my best to! In the next chapter you will be heading to Zora's Domain as Dark requested before when you were healing. What adventures await you there? Author-chan is outt 😆
