Y/N POV
It's been about 3 days since Dark randomly kissed me after my loss in the training room. And let me tell you, it's been the most awkward 3 days I've ever had here. The other day I went down to eat dinner and Dark was there. We both said about 2 sentences and then couldn't think of anything else. UGH, why is this happening!? I mean, I know why but...

I sigh and get out of my bed after thinking about everything that has happened. From the awkward dinners, to the awkward moments when I ran into Dark in the hallways of the castle. I grabbed my f/c tunic and got dressed. I then walked down to the first floor and into the dining area.

Why hasn't Rose brought any breakfast? I think. She usually does by this time in the morning.

I walked around the dining table and suddenly started hearing silent voices coming from the kitchen. Being the curious person I am, I tiptoed slowly over to the kitchen door, trying not to make any sound. Thankfully, no creaks were heard. Carefully placing my right ear on the kitchen door, I tried to make out the voices I heard on the other side.

"Should I take her with me? Will it make things more awkward?"
The deep voice said. I guessed it was Dark's.
"No! It wouldn't make anything more awkward. Your just making it seem awkward. And guess what that does?"
The higher voice said. Most likely Rose.
"Makes it awkward..?"
"Exactly, so you should just take her with you. Did you forget how long it's been since she has stepped out of this place? She's turning a little pale because of how Dark this place is!"
"Oh... Yeah.. Then I'll go tell her about what's happening!"

I stepped away from the door cutting off the words I could hear.
Enough snooping, or I'll get caught.
I thought.
I decided to just sit down at the table and wait, but I began to think.
Obviously it was me they were talking about. But where would Dark take me?

I hear the kitchen door open and turn around to look at the 2 people exiting the kitchen.
"Okay, yeah, I'll go tell her right-" Dark turns around as he's talking and notices that I'm sitting right at the table. His eyes widen.
"O-oh! Y/n!"
I wave smiling brightly at him.
"Hey Dark." I exclaim.
A faint blush appears on his cheeks.
"Hey... Oh! Did you hear anything?" He asks. Rose looks at him and slaps his arm. She mouthed something around the lines of "Don't make it so obvious" with a small glare. He mouthed back a small sorry and looked back at me while Rubbing the arm that was hit.
"No, I didn't hear anything. Why?" I lied.

Dark walked over and sat at the table beside me.
"Because.. I thought it would be nice to bring you with me on my longer journey for something." He smiled excitedly and waiting for my reaction.
"Your... Journey?"
He nodded.
"The times I've went out. Like the day I told you to stay in your room when I was gone. I've been doing some things every time. However since you have been stuck in here I thought it would be nice if you came..." He trailed off and looked down as if disappointed.
"Unless you don't want to come, that's okay."
"N-no! Of course I want to go with you!" I said. He looked up again with a relieved expression.

Dark's POV
I really thought that y/n would in a way "reject" me. Thankfully, she said she wanted to go. I looked over at Rose, who was watching and she grinned.
"I told you" she mouthed.

*flashback to the full conversation etc.*

I had been up for a while thinking about the next time I would be leaving the castle for sometime. I know things weren't so comfortable with me and y/n but I had to get an "item" from the Zoras. It was needed for the potion Ganon requested. But since this was way further then the usual destination it would take a while to get back.

Maybe... I could bring Y/N? But... Wouldn't that be dangerous? Wait, she could handle herself, her sword skills aren't that bad.

Struggling to decide I thought it would be a wise decision to ask Rose. I got up and exited my room, then proceeded to the kitchen, where I know Rose would be. At this time she is always making breakfast.

I walked into the kitchen and Rose quickly turned around, a knife in her hand. "Oh, Master Dark! What brings you here?" She asks me.
I eyed the knife and began talking.
"I came to ask for your opinion on something that's been bothering me."
"Sure, anything." She said sweetly. Sometimes, it annoys me how kind she can be.
"Well, I've been thinking about Y/N..."
Rose smirked and placed her hand on her hip leaning on one leg.
I give her a confused expression.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh nothing... I just know how you feel towards Y/N... You know, with liking her and everything. It's probably not a usual thing for you though.." She said in a teasing tone.
"H-huh? I- what do you mean?" I stuttered.
Half of me wanted to admit my crush towards Y/N, but the other half said not to.
"Don't worry, I can tell when someone likes another person."
I blushed.
"So what if I like her?" I said, almost as if I was proud.
"Yes!! I knew it!! So cute~" she squealed.
"Yeah, yeah, just shut up." I blushed even more and looked away.

"So, what was it you were thinking about? Other then Y/N of course." She said while winking.
"Well, I was thinking about taking her with me on my next journey. I'm going to see the Zoras. I have to retrieve another ingredient." I told her.

"What are you getting all these "things", whatever they are, for?" She asked me curiously.
"Curiosity killed the cat right? Thats none of your business." My voice deepened and I glared at her. I must've gotten the point across when I did that because she quickly changed the subject back.
"S-so you want to know what I think about you taking her with you?" She asked.
I nodded, my mods completely changing back to normal.
"In my opinion I think you should. There are a bunch of beautiful sceneries on the beach leading there! You could..." She nudged my arm with her elbow. "Confess."
"No!" I denied her suggestion and her eyes saddened with disappointment.
"Maybe a confession..." I mumbled quietly.
Her eyes brightened once more and her smile went from one cheek to the other.
"But... Things have been awkward with Y/N and me. That's one thing that makes me hesitate." I said sadly.
"Should I take her with me? Will it make things more awkward?"

"No! It wouldn't make anything more awkward. Your just making it seem awkward. And guess what that does?" Rose asks.
"Makes it awkward..?"
"Exactly, so you should just take her with you. Did you forget how long it's been since she has stepped out of this place? She's turning a little pale because of how dark this place is." I start to walk backwards out of the kitchen while talking to Rose.
"Oh... Yeah.. Then I'll go tell her about what's happening!" I turn around and see Y/N sitting at the dining table.

*insert everything else that happened because you know I'm lazy.*

Y/N POV
"Okay, we can eat breakfast somewhere while we are traveling. I'll go and get everything we need. Rose pack some breakfast for us." Dark got up and rushed to go and gather everything we needed.

A journey with Dark Huh? Sounds like it will be fun.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn my head and see Rose.
"You know, he's really excited for this?" She says.
"Really?" I ask her.
"Seriously. Oh and by the way..." She comes closer and whispers. "Do you like Dark?"

Like Dark!? Like Love?

I had never even thought about that. Do I like Dark? I struggled to think of an answer. In a way I do definitely like him... But... I know that (as in being together) would never happen, so I don't hope for anything. I've just given up. No hope, no hurt, is what I believe. The kiss, I had decided was just a mistake.

"I-I do in a way... But I don't have any hope so you could also say no..." I whispered back sadly.
"Never lose hope." She winked and smiled at me. Then returned to the kitchen to finish packing our breakfast.

Never lose hope? I thought.
