Chapter: START
-the snail

I took a bite of my sandwich and my eyes widened.
"D-Dark!" I called.
Dark quickly turned and responded.
"Yeah? What? Is something wrong!?"
As I sat there speechless he rushed over and grabbed my shoulders slightly shaking me.
"This. Sandwich."
"What WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT? Is it poisoned!?"
"No... It's..." I look at him with wide eyes.
"Really, really good." I finish.
Dark's red eyes flatten as he silently stares at me.
"Did I do something wrong?" I ask smirking.
After I asked that he closed his eyes in annoyance and slightly shoved me backwards and walked back to where the rest of the food was.
I quietly laughed at the trick I had pulled.

"Dark~" I say slowly walking over to him. He grumpily mumbles something without turning around.
"Come on, forgive me. I'm sorry." I said trying to hold in my laugh.

I tried going beside him but he just looked another way. The solution to this was to continue going to where he was looking. After 8 minutes of this repetition he finally turned around with a pissed expression.

"Listen, Y/N! You scared me for no reason."
" I didn't know it would be that serious.. I was just joking.." I responded looking down.
"Well, it was that serious. Your supposed to make me happy not worried. Remember?" He said, his eyes gaining a darker shade of red, clearly mad.

I backed up a little, scared that something like before might happen.
Dark sighed, trying to calm down and came closer lightly placing his hand on my head.

"You don't get it." He said looking away.
I looked at Dark confused.
"What don't I get?"

As I asked, a slight pink fell upon Dark's face.
"Nothing, don't worry about it. I forgive you." He slightly rubbed my head before he left and sat with his back facing me as he ate.
Countless thought circled throughout my head after head after he said that.

What was he talking about? Was his face pink or was I seeing things...

After eating In the awkward silence. (Short author thing "I am not happy about how this first paragraph went. Bare with the rusty author here 😂 gotta make it better, sorry."

"Hey, let's go." Dark said, grabbing his sword and mounting his horse.
I responded with a simple okay and gathered my things also mounting my horse. With a "simple" order, our horses started on the path towards the Zoras.

Man, am I ever lucky that Father taught me how to ride horses. What would I do if I didn't know how to.
Although, I must admit, I've never done anything like a sort of "journey" before.

The sound of galloping filled my ears, surprisingly making me feel relaxed. I looked around at the scenery once again amazed by how beautiful things were.
And to think they were only blurred because of the rude people around me.

At the moment I thought that I was even more thankful towards Dark for bringing me with him.
"Hey Da-" as I was about to thank him for the deed I was cut off.
"Y/N! Get off your horse! We have some friends that would like to fight!" Dark yelled over his should before jumping off his horse and taking out his weapon. Looking ahead I saw about 30 Bokos running towards us. (Not that fast mind you)
"Huh? O-oh! OKAY!" I responded jumping off and getting prepared I ran next to him.
"Ready?" He said with a smirk.
"Heck, yeah." I blocked my nervousness with my words and expression.
"Okay, let's see who can beat the most. Winner gets the bigger portion of dinner." He said before running off towards one of the Bokablins.
"H-hey! NOT FAIR!" I yelled as I ran towards one. Taking my sword I easily defeated the first Bokoblin after 2 horizontal slices. Running towards my next target it took a swing with its club/bat(?) that sent me flying and my sword also. I grimaced, taking in the pain until I heard something farther behind me.

"Your down from that!? Ha! I'm gonna win for sure!" Dark called, mocking my small fail.
I quickly recovered, gaining my ground again and looked around for my sword. Turning, I saw that one of the enemies had taken my sword and was about to swing it at me. Thinking quickly, I ducked, dodging the sudden attack.

If I get hit by my sword... It wouldn't be a pretty sight...

At that moment another thought occurred in my head. Running towards the closest Boko archer I made sure that the other one with my sword followed behind me. I stopped before I was too close to the archer and stood still with my arms open.

Can't be too close for this.. I thought.

Watching the Boko archer notice me and aim the arrow, I got ready..

Do it... Do it...

"Y/N! What are you doing!??" I heard Dark scream at me.

Fshhh (or whatever the sound would be)
The arrow was shot and I quickly duck before it could strike me.
I heard a painful shriek behind me; making me grin at my success. I turned around and saw my sword on the ground.

Ha, it was a head shot too. Perfect.

Bending over, I quickly grabbed my sword. Looking back up I saw a glance of another arrow heading towards me. Blocking my face with my arms I felt a sharp pain in my left arm.

Dark's POV
Quickly looking over, I saw Y/N's left arm pierced by an arrow.
"Y/N! Hold on! I'll help you!" I said between attacking Multiple Bokos. They had come to attack me, before I found it convenient, but now I wasn't able to help her.

"D-dark! It's fine! I'll-"she breathed sharply. I figured she wasn't used to being injured this badly.
"I'll pull it out! You just keep them away from me!" She finished.

I quickly nodded, looking over at the Boko archer that was trying to aim at her again. Quickly killing the 3 Bokos beside me, I ran through the path and climbed the base it was aiming from. Bringing my sword back, I sliced it's head off and jumped back into the ground to get the other Bokos before they could get to Y/N. As I ran towards them I heard a loud scream come from Y/N.

Closing my eyes in pain, I made the decision to continue to fight to make sure no Bokos would get to her.

Your POV
I dropped my sword next to me and fell to my knees. Grabbing the arrow with my right hand I squeezed my eyes shut tightly.

You have to do this y/n. I thought to myself before pulling the arrow out of my arm, screaming in pain.
Gasping for air, I threw the arrow onto the ground and covered the hole in my arm. It was bleeding. A lot.
I attempted to stand after 2 minutes and fell back into my knees.

I'm losing too much blood..

Chapter 10 is done~ if your like "that's too many Bokos" or something like that just imagine whatever amount you want unless it's under 10 because that wouldn't make sense 😂
