The Truth? (Dark Link X reader)

Chapter 9

Both Dark and I were ready and packed. I stared at the scenery in front of me. It had been about a week or so since I had been outside and it was amazing to feel sunlight again. Smell the breeze and just take in all the sounds around me. I looked over at Dark.
"So, what's the plan..?" I asked hesitantly.
"Well, first I need a horse and so do you. I don't plan on walking the whole way." He didn't look over as he talked.
"Um.. Dark?"
Not moving his eyes or head still he responded.
"Yeah?"
"Is something wrong? Your.. Not looking at me. Do I look weird or something?"
His eyes widened and he looked over surprised.
"N-No! Of course not! You look.. Great" Next moment he looked away again.
"Oh... Thanks."
An awkward silence had began but he ended it by talking about how he was gonna get the horses.

"So.. Here's the horse you'll be borrowing." He led a brown horse with a blotch of white on his nose to me.
"Woah! Lucky me! I know I'll like her already!"
"Him." He corrected.
I cleared my throat in embarrassment.
"Yes, him."

We both had a sword attached to our back. Mine the one Dark had given me and of course Dark with his master sword er.. Dark master sword. With that, we both made sure all of the things we needed for the journey were ready. Mounting onto each horse we set off on the journey to see the Zoras... For whatever Dark needed.

After traveling for a while, we decided to stop by a small stream to eat the breakfast Rose had prepared for us.
Jumping off my horse, I set down and blanket and flopped onto it only to feel pain in my back.
"Stupid pebble.." I mumbled while removing the rock from under the blanket. The trees around the area were beautiful and old. You could tell they had been through many things. I looked up at the blue sky and slowly closed my eyes taking a deep breath. I heard Dark gathering the food and start setting up. (like just getting out the food, you know?)
After a minute I didn't hear anything and started drifting off into sleep. That is.. Until I felt a tap on my head. Opening my eyes i was met with Dark's vibrant red eyes and Snow White hair greeting me. Damn, your good looks.. I thought.
"Wake up beautiful.." He said. He got up quickly after saying that. And to be honest, I was glad. I was a tomato.

Dark's POV
"Wake up beautiful." I said without thinking. What the hell am I doing? Why did I say that!? I got up quickly and walked back to the food that was resting on the second blanket not so far away from the one y/n was laying on. I grabbed her sandwich and turned around to hand it to her but her face was buried in the blanket.

Sorry guys, forgot to upload this for a WEEK! I just looked over this and... I was like "WHAT? WHAAAT?" Brought tears to my eyes 😂 Whatever, enjoy haha. I'll edit this later.
