Chapter 49

"Hello" A loud female voice calls out from above.

I look up to see that way up there is actually a girl with dark brown hair and a friendly face. As friendly as a face that a giant probably 60 foot tall person can have. I wonder. "Is your name Alice?" I ask, almost shouting up to her.

"What" The loud voice calls down before ducking to be about 25 feet tall.

"I just asked if your name is Alice!"

"Oh. Yes.....How did you know?" She asks confused.

She came from Earth too but then that is part of a story so should I really tell her she is just a figment of someone's imagination?

"You look like an Alice." What a pathetic answer but it's all I got right now.

"Uhhhhh....ok then." The loud voice echoes down. "Does anyone know where I can find a drink. It'd have a drink me label on it. It shrank me down before and I don't want to stay this tall forever."

Now I could probably use my magic to shrink her down but I don't want to use too much power in case we are attacked. That and if we get attacked then a giant might be quite helpful. "Sorry I haven't seen one. Maybe you would like to come with us to find some. We are on our way to find the queen of hearts." I say crossing my fingers. Please let us have a giant to help us. Please.

"I guess there isn't much else I could do for the time being. Maybe this queen could help me." Alice replies from up above.

I doubt the queen would considering she is evil an all. "Sounds good to me." I call up as I turn to continue through the forest. Goldilocks is now out from the twigs. Alice's steps boom down, shaking the ground as we walk.

After about twenty minutes of walking through the forest with no clear path to follow, see something over the top of the trees. As we get closer we notice it is a gigantic mansion. Our mouths open wide, even Alice's mouth. The whole mansion is made out of large cards. Guarding the castle are two cards approximately the same size as Alice. One card is 10 of Clubs and the /other card is a 10 of Spades.

"What the hell?" Goldilocks gasps out.

The two 10's look over at us. They look at each other then start heading toward us. As they come toward us I notice they flip over and roll. I guess being cards with tiny legs and arms they can't walk as fast as they can roll. Alice hits on of the cards in fear, sending the card flying the other direction. The 10 of spades stays there then moves fast, waving itself back and forth back and forth over and over again faster and faster each time.

Out of the mansion walks another cards and another and another. That thing the 10 of spades is doing must be some kind of call. "Run!" I yell out to my friends as I turn around and start bolting back into the forest. Alice and Goldilocks follow me as the army of Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades roll after us into the forest.
