after mariyahs comment I just walked away, tears in my eyes. why am I so emotional? I ran downstairs to the garden and sat in a chair crying quietly. I hated fighting with josh. I love him. I don't want things to mess up between us. I heard soft footsteps behind me. "lauren" it was mariyah. I rarely ever cried. but lately it's been... well a lot.

"maybe it was a misunderstanding?" I say quietly, as she sat down in the chair beside me. "it was. but he had no right to yell at you like that" she says.
"I hate myself" I mutter. "remember the day we first spoke" she says randomly. I turn to her. I remember.

"three days after I turned 13. 23rd july. we got into an argument on instagram. but then we started talking and soon we were best friends. we met on a year later 3rd december and then the year after that in april. you passed your exams that year and the year after that I passed mine surprisingly. we became closer and moved in with each other as room mates. we had great times together. fast forward to now... we're still friends. people say friendships never last. but look at us. look at tyler and josh. look at demi and selena. you and josh will make up and last. there will be fights but what do you expect? I mean, your always gonna find people who love each other - that argue. like the other day when josh wanted me two draw the fish blue and Tyler wanted yellow? even over small things. love is strong. remember that... wow did I just give an inspiration speech? MY LIFE GOAL IS COMPLETE!" she exclaims.

"yay!" I laugh. "thanks. that helped me a lot" I say. "I helped someone!?"
"yes now how do I tell josh I'm sorry"
"you do it before he does... which is now" I turn round and josh was walking towards us, with tyler.
"I'm sorry" we say at the same time.
"no I'm sorry" we say. oh god sake.
"I achieved my life goal" mariyah says. "well done little one" tyler says.
"josh you didn't even say congrats" mariyah says. "I'm to busy wondering how lauren is so beautiful" he says, making me go pink. "aww!" she squealed. "josh, join me for a snack before mariyah acts weird" I say, walking into the house
