The cafeteria crawled with students. My friends and I sat together again. Carter was nowhere to be found, I was glad, and Clayton has been talking to me a bit more. Clayton and I have been really good friends since the day with the punching bags two weeks ago. Today is Thursday, and right now I am listening to Bianca rant about some gossip she heard around the school. I looked behind me and caught Clayton's eye. He smiled and I blushed a crimson red. I gave him an awkward wave and turned back to Bianca. She was talking to me and Garret and I believe she did not just see that moment.
The bell rang and I had to finish the rest of my day. When my homework was given out in my last class, I almost threw it back at the teacher and told her to let math solve it's own problems. But I held myself back. Just because I am a genius, doesn't mean I like homework. Finally, the last bell of the day rung. I was so glad. My locker awaited my arrival, since it was stuck to a wall.
Violet hadn't tried anything, which was extremely weird. And that creepy number hasn't sent any more threats. I was so glad. I put my locker combination in and switched my books. Closing my locker, I found Clayton leaning against the wall.
"Hey bruh, whatcha doin'?" I asked.
"Um...I have to tell you something." Clayton hesitated.
"What is it?" I leaned against the lockers too.
"I over heard Violet talking about Tyler." I tensed, "She said he was coming to the school." he explained further.
"Wha-wha-what?" I stuttered.
I didn't need Tyler here! Why would I want that!? Oh no! What if he does something!?
Clayton must of seen the terror in my eyes cause he spoke up, "Hey. Hey. Princess, I won't let him do anything. Okay?"
I was still speechless. Clayton couldn't stay with me 24/7, 365 days a year. We didn't even have the same classes!
"-cess. Princess!" Clayton got me out of my daze. "I have been trying to get your attention for ages!"
"Sorry. But how are you supposed to stop him from doing something to me?" I was generally concerned.
"I-I didn't think about that." he admitted.
"What should I do transfer back to my old school? " I suggested.
"No! " Clayton blurted. "I mean ma-maybe he wou-would follow y-you? " I think he was blushing?
"Okay. What should we do? " Clayton looked at the ceiling.
I looked up. Their is nothing on the ceiling! Is he having one of those flashbacks. I slide my head next to his.
"What are you looking at? " I whispered.
"What? " he looked at me confused.
"Why we're you staring at the ceiling?" my face was inches away from his. Can I just move my head forw- Stop!!! What are you thinking?!
"Oh, I was just thinking. " he confessed.
"Okay...." I backed my face away and blushed.
"How about you pretend like he is not their? Always be with a friend or next to me?" it wasn't a bad idea.
"It's a deal. Do you know when he is coming? " I leaned a little closer as I emphasized when.
"No. You want a ride home? " I shook my head.
"No, sorry. I have pick my little sister up. " I explained. He nodded his head as he understood.
"See ya later.....princess. " he smirked.
