I walked into the cafeteria to see my friends all at the table. Carter was gone and I was glad about that. I couldn't handle being near him, or even seeing him. My friends saw me coming and they all....and I mean all....gave me a disgusted look. I sat down and raised my eyebrow, wondering what why they were looking at me like that.
"What's wrong?" I asked worried.
"You know exactly what's wrong." Bianca shook her head.
"What? What are you talking about? " I looked at them all and one by one they got up and left the table.
"Wait! Where are you going?!" I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.
"Don't talk to us." Silvia said.
"Sil. Garret? Bianca? Joey!?" tears threatened to fall as they sat at a different table and pretended that nothing happened.
What the fuck!? I did something wrong and I don't even know what I did! I set my lunch tray down and ran to the girls bathroom. I decided I couldn't stay in their all of lunch and went to my locker. I made it to my locker, since no one was around, I hit my back against the wall and slide down.
Tears raced down my cheeks as I cried softly, not even knowing what I did wrong. I thought they would be there for me, especially Silvia!!! I was getting angry and knew I had to clam down. My anger issues is what got me out of my last school. I can't get kicked out of this one. I cried really hard and then I heard footsteps. I wiped my eyes and stood up, brushing the dust from my jeans.
Someone rounded the corner and was eating a....twinkie!! Lucky duck. I pouted, now I wanted a twinkie! I looked at the person's face, it was Clayton. I sank back down and sulked while cradling my knees to my chest. Clayton looked over at me.
"Hey princess, what's wrong?" he swallowed a bit of his twinkie before talking.
"My friends are disgusted with me. And I don't even know what I did wrong!?" I cried.
"Hmm, weird. I know what will make you feel better." his signature smirk appeared out of thin air.
"What?" I pouted.
"Twinkie." he handed me one.
I immediately smiled like a kid and gobbled it down. He stared at me with a smirk plastered on his face and was trying to hold in laughter. You could tell cause his chest was shaking.
"Yeah, that did make me feel better." I admitted.
"They always do." he sat down next to me.
"Know what are you really here to talk about." I confronted him staring into his brown eyes.
"I saw you run out of the cafeteria and decided to check on you." he confessed, looking up through his eyelashes.
I smiled, "Thanks."
We looked at each other and leaned in,getting closer and closer,I could feel his breath hovering over my lips until, we heard a door open. We snapped our heads forward and sat up, not leaning towards each other anymore. I glance at him through the corner of my eye. He looked at me the same way. A teacher walked down the hallway and glared at us. I smiled sheepishly.
Clayton cleared his throat after the teacher left, "Um...see ya' around." he stood up.
"Yeah. See ya'." I added awkwardly. I stood up too.
We went our different ways. I went to the bathroom again, this time I went in a stall and day dreamed. He...we were going to kiss. Oh my god!! We were going to freaking kiss! NO!! Monica! You don't like him! He is a cocky, conceited, handsome, chocolate brow- Wait! What?! Where did that come from!? You said you wouldn't let your walls down, and you are not! You remember what happened last time! I scolded my self while thinking about Clayton and his features.
