You are now Kara.
Everything is so... bright. It's all so weird. Stage lights. People. Judges. How will you get used to this?
You take a deep breath as you walk out onto the stage. Tori prepared you for this. You're prepared. Deep breath, Kara. You're not prepared. You're not prepared!
Your father walks over to you and grabs you in a comforting hug. His blonde hair mixes with your dark chocolate like hair. The texture is soft and flows, and really hard to cut.
You fix your bright red and white dress, the one your human father picked out for you. He grabs your side ponytail and flips it over your shoulder. Your father gives you a proud smile, giving you the go.
"You'll rock them, Kara."
You nod, taking another deep breath and walking out onto stage. Your pace slows as you realize the auditorium of people. Your gray ears drop to the side, the white rose earrings that draped down reaching your shoulder as you tense up. Anxiety is at an all-time high.
Three judges are in your vision, which was... not the best. "Hey sweetie, what's your name?"
You adjust the microphone and swallow the lump in your throat. "K-Kara."
One is a troll, one is a human, and one is a hybrid, just like you. "You have an adorable name! May we learn more about yourself?" the hybrid questions.
"I p-play volleyball and I do drama, and I-I have been singing for... uh... s-six years."
"How old are you?"
"12," you respond.
The human shifts. "Are you nervous?"
"V-very."
A small chuckle comes around the place.
"Are you ready?"
You nod.
It's now or ever, you remind yourself.
Now or never.
SORRY THIS IS SO LATE- i kinda lost inspiration until i kinda mistanklingy wrote this. this was meant to find inspiration for an original story, but im going to have to scrap it as i just lost interest in it. anyway, now i got some more ideas for this, so expect updates again! next time, i'll tell you when this goes on a hiatus haha- and im kinda waiting for something else to continue writing this, so once that happens, ill update asap!
