You are now Aqmariana.
Now that it has been a week since your encounter with Kara, it's time to step up for finals. There are ten of you, including Kevin and Kara. Kara is... okay, you guess, but she's weird. You guess that's normal for lowbloods.
Every time you try to interact with the small lowblood, she hisses and levitates something, warning you. You just want to be friends with her, but that won't be happening anytime soon. She is still torn on hating you. She seems to enjoy it, though. Kismesis? Matesprit? Morail?! She confuses you. Ugh, girls.
Past that, you two changed your minds on what song you want to do. You guys don't want to sing something with vulgar language in front of your parents.
And that's what you guys are talking about now.
"Well, that eliminates most songs I like..." Kara sighs as she stares at the list of possible songs. She grabs her pencil and marks off about twenty.
"Eliminate the top three," you tell her. She follows and holds her head in her hands.
"Mari, we need to choose today. We lost the two weekend days." She looks up at you.
"I know Kara, I'm not stupid. Hm... what about Echo? We both like that song."
Kara looks down at the floor. "What now?" You growl.
"The high notes-"
"I'll do the high notes, you wimpy lowblood."
Kara glares at you. "Will you stop bringing that up? I'm not a lowblood, I prefer hybrid."
"I'm not a lowblood, I prefer hybrid," You mock. "Shut the hell up. Does it matter? You have burgundy blood, it's everywhere on you."
"It's a fashion choice!" Kara snaps.
"A poor one at the most," You look down at your sharp nails and lean on the table.
She slams her hands on the table. "You listen up you good for nothing illiterate brat! I have done nothing but make all these fucking decisions! You just sit here mocking me just because I'm lower on the fucking hemospectrum! That caste shouldn't even be around anymore! We! Don't! Live! On! ALTERNIA!"
You glance over at her, grinding your teeth. "I see how it is. Well, we originate from there, so you got to pay respects to it, don't you?"
"Alternia had shit rules! Do you know what they did to my dad's ancestor-"
"If you are the daughter of a human and mutant, then why aren't you even lower than you are?" You interrupt.
She screams at you, reaches over the table, and punches you to the ground. She levitates a nearby plant pot and throws it at you as you block. You look for a weapon you can use, but there isn't one around. Suddenly the attacks stop and you look up to see Kara's shorter father standing in front of her, whispering something. She nods and stalks off, anger fuming off.
"I saw the whole thing," he growls. "That was seriously rude of you."
"Why should I listen to you?" You hiss in retaliation.
He kneels beside you, and his blood-red eyes pierce into your dull brown. "Because, Aqmariana, I was the most important out of all of you."
"B-but, you're not even on the hemospectrum!"
"I did not die two fucking times to be disrespected from some awful highblood. So you better shape up your act and treat my daughter right, or I might have to scare the living shit out of you. Got that?"
You nod nervously as he walks off too, leaving you in utter confusion.
What's up with these lowbloods standing up for themselves all of a sudden?
