Founders Party Part 2

...ELENA'S POV...

Stefan was a a bar drinking when I arrived. He saw me and Stefan put the glass on the bar and waved to me.

"Hey!"I said.

"Hey. How are you?"Stefan asked and kissed me on the cheek which was not normal for him.

"Are you drunk?"I asked.

"Okay, I know it's a little weird but it's really helping me. The alcohol takes the edge off."Stefan said.

"You're totally that drunk high school guy at parties sneaking booze."I joked.

"I totally am yeah."Stefan agreed.

"How worried do I need to be?"I asked.

"Oh no! You don't need to be worried. It's just until the cravings go away. Listen, I think we should enjoy it while it lasts. Would you like to dance with me?"Stefan asked.

"You hate dancing. I usually have to beg you."I pointed out.

"No, no, no you have to beg the sober me. The drunk me there is no begging necessary."Stefan said. I looked at the dance floor.

"There's really no one dancing."I said.

"That's because they need something better to dance to. I'll be right back."Stefan said and he left to go across the room to the DJ and Kelly arrived.

"Yeah... That's not gonna work. I already tried to bribe the guy with 20 bucks and a date. He said Carol Lockwood has complete control over the music choices."Kelly said. I looked over at Stefan and saw him compelling the DJ this wasn't normal especially for him I started to get even more worried about him.

"You'd be surprised what Stefan can accomplish when he puts his mind to it."I said and the music changed.

"Thank God!"Kelly said. Kelly went off and started dancing with Stefan and Damon rejoined me at the bar and he looked at Stefan Katherine followed him.(Kelly is dancing with Stefan.

"Have I entered an alternate universe where Stefan is fun?"Damon joked.

"This isn't normal for him something's up."Katherine said.

"Is he gonna be okay?"I asked.

"Eventually. One way or another."Damon said and we looked at each other and then went back to watching Stefan and Damon smiled.

"Us needing to babysitting him is a first for me."Katherine said lightly.

"Well remember sister when he fell of his rocker you were never around."Damon said.

"Yeah you made sure of that."Katherine said and went out but Damon grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"What are you doing Katherine?"Damon asked.

"Im going to have a nice dance with our brother and find out what the hell Is wrong with him."Katherine said looking Damon directly in the eye. Damon sighed and let go of her. Something was up with these two as well I just couldn't figure out what.

...KATHERINE'S POV...

"Hey Stefan would you mind having a quick dance with your sister?"I asked. Damon and Elena were watching from across the bar.

"Sure why not."Stefan said and we started dancing it was a slow song.

"I smell alcohol all over you are you drunk?"I asked.

"A little, it takes the edge off and if I have the edge I tend to you know what."Stefan said.

"Right you tend to have a blood drinking problem."I said.

"Exactly, so do you mind telling exactly what's going on between you and Damon?"Stefan asked.

"Look we've talked about this before, I know he's done a lot of bad things but when I'm with him, he seems less tempted to snap somebody's neck so.."I said.

"So your spending all this time with him to create a positive influence and make sure he doesn't kill any one."Stefan said.

"Yeah and I know you don't like it."I said but Stefan Interrupted me.

"Of course I don't but you gotta do what you gotta do."Stefan said and I smiled and hugged him.

"Thanks for understanding even though your drunk."I smiled and he laughed.
