The accident

...KATHERINE'S POV...

I walked into the boarding house after school and out my bags down Damon came down stairs.

"Heh so guess who I talked with today about you?"Damon said.

"I'm guessing Stefan."I smiled and Damon smiled back and came over and kissed me on the lips.

"Yep he's worried because your spending so much time with your big brother."Damon said in a mocking tone.

"And I'm his sister so he wants the best for me and he's afraid that your going to let me down."I said.

"Yep, it's like you were a part of the conversation."Damon said.

"I don't need to be part of the conversation to know how Stefan feels about me and you, just wait till he's finds out were dating he's going to kill you then me."I said.

"That's exactly why I don't think we should tell him."Damon said.

"Well how long so you think we can hide it?"I asked.

"Lets not think about it, you have homework?"Damon asked.

"No, finished it at school why?"I asked.

"Come on Stefan's at Elena's which gives us time to cuddle on the couch in front of the fire."Damon said. I smiled.

"Okay, I would like that."I said and followed him our hands were Interlaced as we sat on couch he started stroking his hands through my hair.

...ELENA'S POV...

Me and Stefan were sitting on my bed discussing Jeremy's report about vampires.

"Why would he write a report on vampires? Do you think he's starting to remember?"I asked.

"Damon took away those memories for good, you don't have to worry about that. I tell you what: why don't you just ask him?"Stefan asked.

"I... I can't."I said.

"Why not? I mean if he doesn't know anything then it's just an innocent question."Stefan pointed out.

"I don't even know how to talk to him anymore. I mean, we used to be a lot more open with each other. But now, with all these secrets just piling up... You know, I haven't even told him that I am adopted yet."I said.

"Maybe it's time you start opening up to him. I'm not saying you should tell him everything but at least try to find out what he does know and be prepared for it."Stefan said.

"Katherine suggested that I could have been Anna but she thinks that her and her mother would be more careful about exposure."I said.

"She's right, I'm glad your still talking to her. She's been spending a lot of time with Damon lately."Stefan said.

"And this concerns you?"I asked.

"No I mean I know she can take care of her self she's old enough but you know Damon."Stefan said.

"I'm sure she'll be fine."I said and I rubbed his shoulder.

"What about you, how are you doing?"I asked.

"Much, much better. I'm still, you know... a little jittery, a little bit on edge but I'm gonna be okay."Stefan said.

"I've been really worried about you and I missed you."I said

"I just needed to lay low for a little while and let my body readjust. It's only been a few days."Stefan said.

"It feels like a lifetime."I said and we kissed eachother.

"I've missed you too."Stefan said and we started making out. Stefan lied me down on the bed. I rolled over and laid on top of Stefan. Stefan, somewhat aggresively, rolled me back over so he's on top. He stopped kissing me.

"Stefan, what's wrong? Stefan?"I asked his face started to transform the way it would look when we was in vampire form and He threw himself against the wall, breaking a lamp in the process. This was not good.

...DAMON'S POV...

Me and Katherine were cuddling on the couch in front of the fire I was stoking her hair.

"This is nice."Katherine said.

"It is nice."I said holding her in my arms.

"Quiet, still, peaceful. I like our life when it's like this."Katherine said.

"But it is our life, which probably means that somebody's going to walk through that door or call and shatter it probably Stefan."I said.

"Ughhhh."Katherine complained obviously unhappy at My suggestion.

"Don't say that."Katherine said.

"In 10... 9..."I said. Katherine held Me closer to her.

"Just let me enjoy the moment."Katherine said.

"...6 ...5..."I said I was going to continue but Katherine interrupted me.

"Damon, today is a good day, the founders event is today and I get to get all pretty and I can see how handsome you look in a tux and I might even be able to convince Stefan to stay at Elena's tonight so we can make out."Katherine said. I kissed her on the forehead as i continued counting down to 2.

"Damon, it's a good day."Katherine said and then she kissed me on the lips when my phone rang.

"And 1."I said.

"Mhh."Katherine complained and snuggled closer to me as I continued to stroke her hair and answered my phone.

"Damon speaking how may I help you?"I asked it was Elena's caller ID.

"Can you and Katherine come over we need to talk."Elena said.

"Ugh is it urgent?"I asked.

"It's about Stefan."Elena said.

"On our way."I said and closed my phone.

"Don't tell me I heard."Katherine said.

"We'll continue this later okay i really enjoyed it, I love you Katherine."I said.

"I love you to."Katherine said and we kissed again.
