"The monitor picked up something." he said, as he looked at a computer screen. "This hasn't happened since... EVERYONE OUT!" he yelled, creating a portal.
"Can someone explain what's going on?" Sadie pleaded.
"The last ambush. Same thing happened. Go through the portal, I'll meet you there!" Gaeran half explained.
We all dove through the portal, right when Jaco walked in. He turned to face us. Gaeran came and started to close the portal. Ace walked in right after.
"Hunh?" was all I could manage before the portal closed completely.
"Who the heck are they?" Alasne asked.
"Jaco was the kid that bullied me in our grade eight graduating class. Ace was one of his cronies." I replied.
"Well, they figured out where I lived, on the most remote and safe place I could find." Gaeran exclaimed, confused.
"M.M. is trapped!" I yelled, realizing he hadn't come through.
"Where are we?" Sadie asked.
"Well, judging by the Eiffel Tower, I'm pretty sure we're in France." Alasne replied excitedly. "Going here was on my bucket list!"
I looked at my phone contacts. "I think I have friends here. This was my phone from inside the house. Sorry, I kinda picked it up." I said as I hailed a taxi. A few minutes later, the four of us were standing in the snow, looking at a mansion.
"Gaeran, do you remember Brittany and Audrey?" I asked.
"How could I forget? They were so annoying! No offense." He replied.
"None taken." I said.
"Let me guess. More friends?" Alasne asked sarcastically.
"Yup. Let's go say hi!" I said, ringing the doorbell.
"Il y a quelqu'un à la porte!" someone yelled.
"Bien ok alors," someone else yelled back.
"Bonjour, qui est-ce?" The first one asked.
"Hi, it's me, Layren!" I answered.
"Audrey! Come! It's Layren!" Brittany said, delighted to see me.
"Come in, come in, we have another guest for you to meet!" Audrey said, waving us all in.
"I feel pulses of power..." Gaeran whispered to me as we entered the building.
