In the living room there was light green walls with a peach coloured couch.
"I recognize her... the power... it's coming from her!" Gaeran finished as the girl on the sofa stood up. "She's the first! The first one to have magical abilities! Legend has it, she made those necklaces herself!"
I stood staring. She had a necklace just like ours. Just then she walked over to us.
"Hi, I'm Sarah." She noticed the necklace. "Welcome. You three are now one of us."
"Sarah?" I asked in disbelief.
"You survived? What a miracle!" she said, laughing.
"Well, yeah, Zachienne only zapped me back in time. He didn't kill me." I replied.
"He ONLY reversed you back in time? Incredible!" She repeated.
"We thought you were gone for good." Audrey said.
"Well, I'm back, and we've got a problem. The dark has risen again, and now Jaco, Troy, James AND Ace are on their side."
"Ace?" Everyone said in disbelief and confusion.
"Wait - how do you know Ace?" I asked Sadie and Alasne.
"Ace is my DAD!" Sadie exclaimed.
"Okay, we now need Ace alive when we attack." I started.
"We're attacking?" Alasne said, horrified.
"We have to. Now, we want Ace alive, for Sadie. If Jaco, Troy and James are still alive, they will be shaken up a little. I will take on Ace with Alasne and Sadie," I said, drawing one of those battle plans you see in movies.
"I'll go for James and Brittany will go for Troy. We learned Karate when you were gone." Audrey said as Brittany nodded her head.
"Gaeran and I will take on Jaco." Sarah offered.
"Perfect, let's sleep before the battle." I suggested, yawning. Everyone agreed and within ten minutes everyone had a spot to sleep and was sleeping. Sarah, however, was caught up in her thoughts. She came into my room, and woke me up.
"Layren!" Sarah whispered. I woke up slowly.
"Yah?" I replied looking at the clock. It was midnight.
"I need to talk to you. C'mon." She said, walking to the door. I quickly followed her to the living room and sat on the couch. "This is going to sound awkward." she began.
"Trust me," I replied. "Nothing could be more awkward than your best friends learning you're married to a random stranger who is thirty six when you're thirteen."
"Okay, well..." She hesitated. "I'm... Gaeran's mother." My jaw dropped. Her. Gaeran's mother?
"I have to teach you how to become half dragon, half human." Sarah said suddenly, opening up a portal. "Let's go."
I followed her through. She left it open, just in case something went wrong.
"Think about turning into a dragon. When you feel your wings sprout, do an aerial in mid air, then you should be halfway." She said, showing me the mechanism. Her wings were a midnight blue, darker than mine. "You try."
I touched the pendant for a second time total, and also for a second time I felt the odd sensation. I grew my wings and quickly did an aerial. I never could do this, even after six years of gymnastics. Every other dragon part of my went away, except for my wings. We both flew up into the air. Just then, someone flew into a different portal on a furry, ice blue dragon.
"Uh, oh. It's Carma. Stay behind me!" Sadie said, drawing a sword out of thin air as I quickly flew behind her.
"I come in peace!" Carma yelled.
"Don't come forward another step until you've told us why you're here!" Sarah yelled back.
" I came from the dark one. Are used to be second-in-command when Zachienne ruled. Ace, a rookie, ordered Robert the executioner to assassinate him. Zachienne was my best friend. After that, Ace became leader. He locked me up in a jail cell in the castle! Oh, I forgot about your robot. I have his memory chip. Those fools were going to extract information from him. As he passed my cell, he saw potential, so he tossed me his chip. Here." She said, tossing me the chip. I caught it as she went on, "I escaped that awful prison and found Frost. He helped me fly here, to you." Carma explained.
"Why should we believe you?" Sarah asked at the same time I said
"I believe you!"
"You can't be serious!" Sarah turned to look at me.
"I totally am. If M.M. gave her his memory chip, he has to trust her, so I do too!" I declared.
Sarah turned to Carma. "You swear your magic you won't come after us or try to kill us?"
"I swear my magic, you can trust me!" She said genuinely.
"Okay. Follow me." I said, leading the way through the portal. When we got through, it was eight o'clock.
"Magic?" I asked Sarah.
"Magic." She replied. Frost just barely fit in the living room of the house, thank goodness. Soon after we came back, I introduced Carma.
"Okay Carma. Where are they now? Do you know?" I asked everyone turning to face her.
"Well, they were going to come here from Phoenix, Arizona. By tomorrow at twelve o'clock, they will be at Cairo, Egypt." She replied, drawing on the map.
"Great. I can fly at least someone else. Is Frost willing to fly other people?" I asked.
"Sure, anything to help!" Carma replied.
"Okay, Brittany, you go with Alasne and Audrey you go with Sadie. Gaeran you can come with me and Sarah if you have to, you can fly with Sarah and Frost. Okay?" I said, taking charge. "Oh, and Sarah, can you open the portal to the place we were this morning?"
"Uh, Layren? It's still up." Alasne said, pointing to the portal.
"Great! Everyone into the portal, we'll fly out to the street from there." I declared.
Once everyone was in through the portal, I told them to get into their partners. Sadie, Alasne and I quickly turned into dragons. Gaeran got onto me while Audrey got onto Sadie and Brittany got onto Alasne. Sarah turned a portal onto the street. She then turned into a midnight blue dragon in an instant and nodded at me to go. I ran through the portal out onto the busy street with Alasne and Sadie hot on my heels. I looked around. In a matter of seconds the street had been deserted from us. I flapped my wings as hard as I could because of my passenger. I decided to go southeast. Not one person was talking as we flew to Egypt. Not long after, I could see the triangular pyramids in the distance. I felt grim because I lead everyone to this fate. I could be leading my friends and family to danger and even death.///
Oml this chapter is longer to make up for that short chapter. .-.
