*Michael's Point Of View*

The entire day all I hear is Patrick. From his slick comments or blood boiling insults. I don't know what has gotten into that man but he better take it out. At dinner he asked who's the bread winner in the family.  I really wanted to stuff a roll down his throat. Next, he asked why adopt only to have another child. The man asks way to many questions. And to top it all off he questioned me being the father of our unborn child. I know it isn't my child but he doesn't know. I ignored his question and excused myself from the table. I had enough of him. I can't deal with assholes. So currently I'm sitting in the living room watching the TV, well it's more so watching me. "Are you OK?", I look to the left to see Marilyn slowly walking in. I force a smile. Yes I am, She sits by me. "No you're not", Why do you say that?, She cracks a smile while a giggle exscaped as well. "One because you're firetruck red", She laughs harder. "And you walked out pretty dramatically ",I give her an confused look. "Babe you pushed yourself away from the table and slammed the napkin down all while staring a hole into Patrick's soul", She stops giggling And takes my hand. "Michael talk to him ", Why the as-, "Michael! that's still my father so please do it for me ", I sigh. He reminds me of my father and I don't like that, "than fix it", How?, She slowly stands up and pats my thigh. "ask yourself that, I'm off to shower ", I sit for awhile then stood up realizing what she said. You want some company?, She giggles. "Papa stop being a pervert and go talk to pops ", I give her my best puppy face. Please?, She shakes her head. "Go talk to him ", She said walking off. "I'll be waiting so don't be long", She quickly added. I smile. My smile faded when I realized I have to go talk to the asshole. I sigh and stood up and made my way to the kitchen.  I took in a deep breath when I reached the kitchen door. I walked.in  and Marilyn's mom was talking to Patrick.  I cleared my throat. "But Pa -", Marilyn's mother turns around. "Oh hey Michael can I help you honey? ", I smile. Yes.... I just would like to to Patrick if that's OK?,She looks at Patrick then me. "Alright honey, I'll leave you guys to talk ",She walks past me and stops to kiss me on the cheek. "night Michael ", Goodnight Melinda, She smiles and walks out. I look at Patrick.  "Sit down son", I slowly walk to the chair in the corner of the kitchen. We are both silent for awhile.  Then he breaks it. "You wanted to talk so talk", I hate how he talks to me I really do. Breathe Michael breathe, Well I wanted ask you whats the problem why are always attacking me?, He looks at me confused. "I haven't attacked you son", I look at him. I can't believe he really thinks he didn't do anything wrong. I sigh. No disrespect sir but you have....you insulted me...my unborn child....and my career.... Sir I tried my best to bite my tongue but I can't keep doing that because you're treating me like some incompetent bitch! And reality check sir I'm pretty well engineered up there, He just looks at me for me to finish. An-And I've been going through that throughout my entire childhood and refuse to deal with another asshole in my own home!, I said all in one breath. "Are you finished? ", After finding my breath I nod. "Well son I understand your frustration, Through your quite vain words I see my wrong doing, I'm sorry if I'm bringing in a bad vibe into your home, I'm just use to speaking my mind, But son you don't need to be afraid to put me in my place if you need to OK?", I nod.  He walks to me and pats my shoulder. "You're a good man Michael ", I nod. He starts walking out but stops. "Michael? ", I stand up walking out. Yes?,  "Your unborn child.....  Are you the father? ", I look at him to see if he was serious. He was. I really don't know how to answer him I mean I don't want to lie. I take in a small breath. No, He looks at me and walks out. I see him shaking his head. I couldn't lie to the man....
