chapter 10

I groggily stood up on my bed. I needed more sleep than ever. "Honey come down!I made spaghetti with meatballs."I heard my Mom yell from downstairs.

"I'm coming mom."my voice came out as a croak."are you okay?"i heard her ask.

"Yeah,I'm fine. It's cool."i squeezed my eyes shut again.

"I just need more sleep."i whispered as i drifted off again.

Little did i know that my watch was beeping.

I heard a knock on my window. "Go away!not interested char or jasp or even henry!"i grumbled lightly.

"You two have failed me."i heard the familiar voice of ray. I bolted upright to see him covered in muck and poop.

"Uhhh...."i trailed off.

"I chased men below the swellview sewers!"he scolded,making me guilty.

"I'm sorry. . ."i paused

"Its just that,life right now isn't as easy as riding a bike."i said.

"Riding a bike is hard."i heard him mutter.

"Lol."i said,a habit I should really stop.

"Lol what?"he asked.

"Nothin."i answered as i got under the covers again. "Don't you cover yourself!"i heard ray say annoyed. He was about to take the comforter off,when i put my hands up.

"Back up,stench,mud,poop."i said,my face turning into a sour look.

"You should've thought of that when i triple beeped you!"he said backing off. "Okay."i said starting.

"Ray,me and henry are your sidekick. We are just two kids trying to hide an awesome life between our normal lives. Sometimes hiding the truth is hard. Bailing and lying on people that we love. Can't we just bail on you too?-"(i know that question is really stupid,but that's what I said.)"-I'm really sorry if you are dissapointed in me,but you're indestructible. Me and henry are not. . . . . Now let me sleep."I said annoyed by the fact,that ray made me talk a lot and woke me up.

"Sweetie?who are you talking too?"i heard mom say from outside. I stood up and accidentally kicked him in the you-know-where part. "Sorry!"i whisper shouted. I told him to lay down.

"Coming mom!"i said. I opened the door to reveal my mom with a glass on her hand.

"Who are you talking to?"she asked. "Nothing mom."i grinned sheepishly.

"Henry called and told me something about geometry and stuff."i lied. "Yah know. . . Phone calls."i chuckled uncomfortably.

"Okay?"she asked slowly and turned around.

"Yes mom...hehe."  i shut the door slowly, i turned around to face a very angry ray(again).

"You and henry are goibg to take a day off tomorrow. Thank yourself that your speech actually made sense." He said before leaving my room through the window.

"Great." I said and got back under the covers.

||Henry's POV||

Ray told me and camille could take the day off and i have never been happy than ever.

I spent the whole day sleeping and checking my phone for calls or messages. Until a message came in and it was from camille.

From: camille
I cant sleep anymore. Can i go at ur place?

I replied with a yes and continued to sleep,not knowing i was shirtless when camille came.

She opened my room without a knock causing me to stumble over and fall just wearing my boxers.

"HENRY!" She yelled turning around. "I NEVER THOUGHT YOU SLEPT SHIRTLESS WHAT THE HELL?" She yelled as i struggled to get my clothes on.

"You can turn around now." I said noticing that she was blushing.

"Are you blushing?" I smirked at her antics. "Well yeah i saw you shirtless and i've never seen you shirtless unless it was a pool party or at the beach!" She argued.

"Aww youre blushing." I teased her

"Watch yourself henry. I still have powers." She threatened sitting on my bed.

"You love staying here dont you?" I said laying beside her.

"This is my second home." She rolled her eyes and playfully slapped my stomach.

"Ouch that kind of hurts!" I said which is partially true.

"Watch yourself." She laughed and laid beside me too.

Pretty soon we were sleeping beside each other again. I admit camille is sweet and caring and funny, but she really isnt my type. I look at her as a sister nothing more, nothing less.

I'm surrounded by women in my entire life and they seem to stand out in their own way.

We slept peacefully throughout the whole day and waking up when it was almost midnight.

"Henry wake up!" Camille screamed and pushed me out of the bed.

"Jesus christ cam! I almost died." I laughed

"And im about to!" She panicked

"Calm down cam. what is it?" I asked touching her shoulder.

"Check your ding dang clock hart!" She said grabbing her bag and walking out of the room. I cant let her walk home alone at this time of the night.

I followed her downstairs, "i'm walking you home." I said grabbing my jacket from the coat rack and opening the door for her.

"I think i can take care of myself hart." She winked.

"But you're still a girl and can be attacked by a man or something." I said.

"Aww you care." She teased me and kept walking.

I placed my hand on her shoulder keeping her close to me. "You're very sweet hen." She said and engulfed me into a hug. I hugged her back knowing full well that were still in the middle of the road.

"Let's keep walking." I said while we walked the road in each others arms.

"Isnt this a very couple thing to do." She joked. "It is but anyone can do it." I said

When we reached her house, i helped her sneak in her room as i bid goodbye to her.

Today was a good day.
