3 years.

He looked at me with confusion. Then he turned to Carl, a flash of anger showed in his eyes. He tried to hold in his rage and chose his words carefully when he spoke.

"Who is she?" Rick questioned Carl.

"Sadie."

"Do you think she's a threat?"

"No."

"Why?"

"She never held a gun before, let alone shot one."

"Than how'd she survive?"

"I climbed trees and I have a few knives." I spoke up.

"Where are you from?"

"North, from Canada."

"How many walkers have you killed?"

"Around fifty."

"Dad, I already asked her the questions." Rick ignored him.

"How many people have you killed?"

"Two."

"Why?"

"A women tried to eat me alive and a man kidnapped me."

"Do you think you could help us?"

I thought about my answer. I don't know these people, and Rick doesn't seem stable. But he has a kid and they had a group. I could help them, but it depends on what I'm helping them with.

"What are you asking me to help you with?"

"Survival. You can help us gather supplies and find our old group." Carl spoke up.

"Survival." Rick repeated.

"So, you're asking me to be part of your group?"

"You can stay with us, but we need to be able to trust you. You're just a kid, you probably aren't a threat."

"She's obviously not a threat, dad. She barely killed any walkers!"

I gave Carl a look. He has an attitude, no manners either. he realized I was glaring at him and mumbled something that sounded like a sorry. I always had a death glare that could make anyone regret whatever they did. It's my specialty.

"I didn't have a gun, I'm kinda afraid of then anyways so... I'm fine with a knife."

"No, you're not."

"Carl, do you have an extra shotgun?"

He nodded and handed me one. He passed me some extra ammo. The gun sent a shiver down my spine. It was cold and heavy. I didn't like it.

"I've gotta get going, we need to get some more supplies." Carl stated.

"I'll come with you." I needed to get out of the crummy house.

"You two aren't going anywhere without me."

"Dad, you were just passed out for a whole day and you look like a mess. You aren't going anywhere."

"Yes, I am. I'm the one in charge here."

"Dad." Carl whined.

"Just let him go with us, I'm not gonna be much help. I'm not a good shot."

"Fine, lets go." Carl finally gave up.

We quickly packed what we needed and left.
