3 years.
"What's the date?" I asked Beth.
"The 8th. Why?"
"It's my birthday." I grinned.
"Oh well, happy birthday!" She returned my grin. "How old are you?"
"Fourteen." She gave me a funny look.
"No offense but... You really don't look fourteen."
"I know." I laughed.
"So, what do you want?"
"Michonne's katana." I smirked.
"That's not happening in a thousand years!" She laughed.
"I heard something about my katana." Michonne budded in, a serious look on her face.
"Well, it's my birthday and... I've alway wanted a samurai sword... I don't really know why but-"
"It's not happening." She smirked.
"Told you so." Beth chuckled.
Carl joined the conversation.
"What you all laughing at?"
"It's Sadie's birthday and she wanted my katana." Michonne frowned.
"Ha! That's not happening!" Carl laughed.
"I figured." I put a fake disappointed look on my face.
Rick and Daryl appeared out of nowhere.
"What y'all laughin' at?" Daryl grumbled.
"It's Sadie's birthday and she wanted my katana." Michonne repeated.
"Not happening." Daryl smirked.
"Well, happy birthday." Rick chuckled.
My birthday was spent on the railroad. Following the tracks. We walked for a good two hours until we saw a sign written on the side of a abandoned train. A sign of hope. 'Survivors ahead. Follow the tracks.'
"Oh. My. God." Beth said quietly.
"A birthday miracle." I chucked.
"Survivors. Survivors!" Rick shouted, sounding almost hysterical.
Carl gasped, Michonne stared in shock and Daryl just smirked.
We looked around the train. I walked to the other side and saw something that just made my day. Horses. Three horses. I shouted for everyone to come. I ran up to the nearest horse and just stared at it. Everyone went up and stood beside me.
"I call the beige one with brown spots." I slowly walked towards the horse.
"I call the white one." Beth almost whispered.
"I call the unicorn." Grumbled Daryl.
Everyone laughed.
"There's enough for everyone to share one." Rick stated.
Sooner or later we were all traveling again. This time, on horses. I share my horse with Beth. It took a bit of convincing but eventually we chose the beige one instead of the white one. At first I wanted to share a horse with Carl but I realized that wrapping my arms around his waist for would be extremely awkward. Carl shared his horse with Rick and Michonne shared with Daryl. Michonne decided to ride fast on the horse and Daryl didn't really like the fact that he had to wrap his arms around her waist for dear life. Me and Beth giggled at them and he scowled at us.
It was getting dark so we decided to make camp in a abandoned train cart. I decided that my birthday want so bad... Until I looked inside the abandoned cart.
"Hello, Sadie." He smirked.
" Alex, you bastard..." I muttered under my breath.
